Blog Design Team: Dreaming of Fall Florals
It’s Tuesday, crafty friends and we hope your day is off to a lovely start! Today we have a card from Blog Design Team member Amy Kolling that is sure to inspire you to get out there and create something beautiful. Check it out below…
Now, let’s hear from Amy about her project…
Now that cooler weather is here, I have the colors of fall on my
mind. Where I live, it’s the colors of the mums I see everywhere! I love
these mini blooms from the Mini Bloomers dies along with the Bloomers
Greenery dies. The vines work perfectly to wrap around the decorative
edge frame from the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate.
I started with a
standard white notecard and blended in Tumbled Glass Distress Ink in a
circular motion to the center of the panel. Then, with various fall
colors of cardstock, the Mini Bloomers were die-cut. The larger vine die
from Bloomers Greenery die was die-cut twice and placed around my
frame. The leaves were embellished with Copics for a bit of detail
along with white dots which were done with a white Pigment pen. Such a
fun way to add a little extra something! Clear gems were added to the
layout of blooms.
My sentiment is a favorite of mine from
Walt Disney. It stamps perfectly to the inside of the decorative frame
die. To add more interest, another die-cut frame from the Frame in Frame
Cutting Plate was added to the perimeter with foam adhesive to make it
look like a shadowbox. I love all the dimension it creates!
Thanks so much, Amy, for sharing this wonderfully die-cut fall floral card with us today! You can catch more of Amy’s design work on her blog, Stamp-n-Paradise. Have a joyful day!
