Simple Little Things
Good morning! I had a wonderful time at StampMania this weekend! It was so nice to meet everyone and see old friends again. Wouldn’t you know it though… I forgot my camera! UGH! Why do I do that!? I’ll just have to scrounge up some pictures from all the other people who were smart enough to remember their cameras! Thank you to all of you who participated in the sketch challenge over the weekend… I had so much fun checking out your creations. The winner of the Stampendous Flower Chat stamp set is Mary Jo Albright. You can check out her adorable card here! Mary Jo, email me at tayloredexpressions@gmail.com with your address and I’ll send out the stamp set tomorrow. Today I have a couple cards to show you using the Simple Little Things special anniversary set from Papertrey Ink. Customers who supported Papertrey Ink by purchasing 12 or more stamp sets during the year were given this stamp set in appreciation. The set is so versatile with lots of different sentiments and image possibilities. For the first card I used two popular colors for the spring season. I’ve seen so many home decor and fashion magazines in yellow and green. The cardstock is Papertrey Ink Lemon Tart and Stampin’ Up Wild Wasabi. The circle images in the set can be punched out perfectly using the 1 1/4″ circle punch. Or if you want to leave a little border around the images, use the 1 3/8″ circle punch. I stamped the background repeated with another one of the images from the set… I love the lattice look! The images are embellished with small star rhinestones. I think they’re meant meant to be used as nail decor, but I like to use them on cards! 🙂 The second card uses Suede Brown Dark and Suede Brown Medium from Prism Papers along with Stampin’ Up Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise, and Old Olive. The white cardstock is Papertrey Ink. You can’t see it very well in the picture, but I punched out a 1″ square, stamped the hello sentiment, and popped it up on foam tape. I used Borders and Corners Square for the polka dot outline and the polka dot background on the bottom part of the card. Make sure you check out the rest of the design team creations in the Simple Little Things gallery! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
