On the 10th Day of Christmas…
While I was visiting Texas, Jami issued a challenge to all of us: The Texas Scrappy Challenge! She gave us some adorable snippets of patterned paper with matching buttons, ribbon, and cute holiday images. The challenge: Use at least a portion of each item in the bag to create a card or 3D project! I picked up this unfinished wood frame with a chalkboard center at Michael’s. I painted it with white acrylic paint and used the patterned paper and other solid cardstocks to create a mosaic design around the outside. I incorporated the buttons inside the squares, used the Santa image in the bottom corner, and the little ribbon bow to finish off Jami’s checklist of items to use. I created the title using my Just Rite Brayton alphabet, white acrylic paint, and black StazOn. The acrylic paint washes off the rubber really easily as long as you don’t let it dry on there for too long. You can check out all the Texas Scrappy Challenge creations here! Are you all gearing up for the biggest shopping day of the year!? If you’re anything like me then you’ll be sitting in your PJ’s and doing your shopping on the computer! *grin* I don’t do malls out here in California… no parking, millions of crazy people, and crowded stores don’t make for a very fun day. In case you’re getting ready to do some online Christmas shopping yourself, I wanted to let you all know that there will be a sale at Taylored Expressions starting on Thursday! You’ll find Buy One Get One Free on select Just Rite products, new product releases, a special customer appreciation coupon, and more! Make sure you’re subscribed to the TE Newsletter for all the details. Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
