Good morning! That’s one long title on my post today, huh? Well that’s because we’re sneaking peeks at three more new sets that will be available for purchase on Friday, June 4th at 8am PST!

Our talented illustrator, Nancy McKinney, has designed another beautifully bold set of images that I know you’re going to love! The set is called Summer Afternoon and the intricacy will leave a lasting impression on the lucky recipient. For my first project, I decided to use the large frame from the set. Everything you see in purple is the same image. The inner portion of the frame measures 1 3/4″ making it the perfect compliment for our Monogram Download. I have a ‘J’ friend with a birthday coming up so I thought I’d use the monograms to make her a set of cards. I used the Kioshi Key Ingredients because these patterned papers are her favorite. I stamped the frame onto Choice Snow White cardstock in Wisteria chalk ink. Then I punched out the monogram and popped it up on foam tape inside the frame. The Acanthus Leaf border punch gave me the perfect pop of black that the card needed. I finished the whole set of five cards in about 20 minutes! As Nancy was illustrating Summer Afternoon, I was envisioning beautiful sentiments of care and comfort for the inside of the frame. And so I designed Care and Comfort, a set of 9 sentiments to offer just that, care and comfort, to loved ones. Seven of the nine sentiments fit inside the Summer Afternoon frame. For my card I started by stamping the frame in Wisteria chalk ink and embossing it with clear embossing powder. Then I added the ‘praying for friends’ sentiment to the inside. I cut and layered portions of the patterned paper to create my own little embellishment and added the pastel pearl brads to the corner.

Now it’s time to check out the adventures of our favorite little Cuppie! This month Cuppie is seeing all the sights (and smelling all the smells!) of the farm in our Udderly Sweet set. I don’t know about you, but this particular sentiment is going to get lots of use in my stamp room. I am awful about remembering birthdays and it’s usually a few days later when I say “Oh Crop!”. Now I have the perfect sentiment and it’s so fitting since we live right next to a corn field! I stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored it with Copic markers. I used a Spellbinders Big Scalloped Rectangle to anchor my image panel and dressed up the polka dot patterned paper with matching Candy Dots.
