Taylored Expressions August Release Spotlight
Hey there! The August Release party continues today as the Baker’s Dozen and I have more inspiration to share! All of the new products are now available in the Fresh Out of the Oven department and we also have some pretty cool specials running through Sunday so click here to check those out too!
For my project I decided to pair the sweet Moka Gwen with the Chevron Border dies to create my own patterned paper from a bunch of scraps:
You’ll notice there are three different sized chevrons on my background paper and that’s because I discovered something by accident when used my Chevron Border dies. If you’ve purchased Taylored Dies before then you know they come attached together and you can easily snap them apart before using them. Well, since I was cutting out so many chevrons I decided to just leave them attached together. And then I discovered that you actually get 3 borders from 1 pass through the die cut machine. The spacing between the two attached border dies creates a third (and thinner) chevron border. OK… now after typing all of that I hope it makes sense!
In addition to Moka Gwen & the Chevron Border dies, I also used the Library Pocket Die, Notepaper A la Carte, and Notepaper Die. Here’s a look at the dies that I used:
That’s it for me today, but make sure you check out the rest of the design team projects!
