    It’s a Girl! – Baby Shower Invitations

Hey there! I hope you’re all having a great week! You may remember me mentioning that my sister is pregnant and due at the end of February. I’m super excited to be an auntie and thrilled that she’s having a little girl too! They are naming her Isabella and I hope she and Madelyn will grow to be great playmates in the coming years.

My sister and her husband live in California which means I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like. I’m heading out to California in January to attend CHA and I thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to host a baby shower for her while I’m there! So I took a break from making Christmas cards, gifts, and tags for a couple days to put together the invitations for her baby shower. Here’s the design I came up with:

It’s a vertical pocket card and it was the perfect design for holding the details inside while still having enough space to embellish (but not too much space since I had to make 35 of these!). I’ve definitely told y’all that mass-production isn’t my favorite thing, but I found that if I separated the cards into several steps it really wasn’t that bad. The most tedious part ended up being writing out all the details for the info card! Here’s a look at my piles before I glued everything together:
I had so much fun making these and I hope all the recipients love them! Now to figure out where I’m going to order desserts for the shower. Any suggestions from SoCal readers? The shower is in Lakewood so I’m looking for something nearby. I’d like to get a fancy cake and some cupcakes or cake pops. Here’s a look at the pile. Seeing them all together makes me happy!

Wonderful party theme & execution! My granddaughter's 1st birthday was also Sept. 13th and this grammy went with a lady bug theme. I remember when you had us guessing the sex of your child when you were pregnant & I guessed girl b/c my daughter was also pregnant @ the time – who knew they would be born on the same day. Looks like you all had a fun celebration

Happy birthday Madi!! Oh my goodness, the photos are DARLING! What a sweet little girl and the cake is so clever! Your mom is amazing with her table cover and I can't believe the difference in the table after you spray painted it! Wish I had thought of that when my kiddos were little. Looks like you had a fabulous day!
