Good morning, crafty friends! Welcome back for our second day of sneak peeks for the November Release! We’re gettin’ gifty this month as we all prepare for the biggest gift-giving holiday right around the corner! All of our new products will be available for purchase at the TE web store on Thursday, November 5th at 7am PST!
Last month we debuted a brand new product at Taylored Expressions; our watercolor panels! The Christmas pack has been incredibly popular and today I’m excited to introduce two new collections! In keeping with our sneak peek celebration, we also have a prize up for grabs and all you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment here on the blog.
Today we’re giving away one set of Watercolor Panels (your choice) to two lucky winners!
Enter to win by leaving a comment on this blog post before Wednesday, November 4th at 11:59pm PST. One entry per person. Each comment will be automatically entered into our Grand Prize drawing for a $50 Gift Certificate to the TE Store! Winners will be chosen at random and announced on Thursday, November 5, 2015.
As I mentioned yesterday, each day of sneak peeks will feature a new group of products so that by Wednesday you will have seen an image of every product we’ll release on Thursday morning. Our creative team uses various products featured in each day’s grouping so make sure you hop around to see all of the inspiration! OK… let’s get started!

Watercolor Panels – Keep in Touch
Watercolor Panels – Uplifting
Most of my family members don’t make cards themselves (can you believe it!?), but they love to send handmade cards! So one of my favorite gifts to give for Christmas is a set of notecards. And our new watercolor panels make it so easy to create a set of notecards as a gift.
My mom loves to do all kinds of crafts (including paper crafts), but she’ll be the first to say that she’s not a big fan of coloring. So I thought I’d watercolor a set of panels for her and let her make the final creative choices to turn them into cards. Here are a few of the panels I started with:
If you’ve never tried watercoloring, let me be the first to tell you that it’s so easy to achieve great results! Watercolor is such a forgiving coloring medium. Start light and continue to add layers of color, moving the color around with a water brush. My favorite products for watercoloring are the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and the Kuretake Waterbrush (coming soon to the TE Store!).
These watercolor panels are great for so many things like Bible bookmarks, planner inserts, pocket scrapbooking, notecard sets, and of course, cards! I also wanted to show one of the watercolor panels from the Keep in Touch set finished off as a card so you can see that option.
After watercoloring the panel, I trimmed it slightly, rounded the corners, and mounted it on a die cut from the Pockets & Pages – Stitched Essentials set. The background is embossed with the Cable Knit embossing folder.
I also watercolored onto some scraps and die cut the flowers and greenery for an extra embellishment in the bottom corner.
The rest of our creative team is featuring additional items from today’s products so make sure you hop around to their blogs! You’ll want to check out how they’ve used some of the funny sentiments in the P.S. You’re Welcome set! Especially if you love a good dose of sarcasm!
