Creative Team: Sweet Experiment
Happy Monday, crafty friends! We hope you had a fun weekend and had a chance to go out into the sunshine. With Valentine’s Day less than a month away, we’re in full love day mode around here! Today, we’re sharing an fun project by Jean Manis. She has used our Test Tube Caddy die to create some chic and stylish V-Day treats and we can’t wait to share them with you.
Here are step-by-step instructions for how to create Jean’s test tube treats:
Step 1: Die-cut four test tubes from Earl Grey and Poppyseed cardstock (two each) with the Test Tube Caddy die using extended cutting plates (the die measures 11″ by 4″).
Step 2: Dry emboss the top portion of the cut test tube caddies with the On the Spot Embossing Folder.
Step 3: Die-cut images with the You’ve Been Framed – Valentine die set from Watermelon cardstock and Sugar Cube cardstock (two each).
Step 4: Cut four rectangles 1-3/8″ wide x 2-3/8″ high (two Sugar Cube, two Watermelon) to fit behind the You’ve Been Framed – Valentine images.
Step 5: Attach frames to rectangles with liquid adhesive.
Step 6: Assemble test tube caddies and adhere sides with double-sided tape. Adhere panels to front of test tube caddies.
Step 7: Stamp and heat-emboss the “much love” sentiment from the Critter Correspondence stamp set with white embossing powder onto Watermelon and Poppyseed cardstock (2 each).
Step 8: Cut sentiments with die from the Mini Tags die set.
Step 9: Fill test tubes with candy and insert into caddies.
Step 10: Tie tags onto test tubes with twine.
We hope you enjoyed Jean’s treat tubes today! What yummy goodness would you fill them with? Visit Jean’s blog, Right as Rain, for more of her wonderful work.
