With a “Woof Woof” here, and a “Moo Moo” there! June Sneak Peeks!
Hello there, crafty friends! It’s the last day of sneak peeks before all of our new products are available for purchase at the TE webstore! Set your alarm for 7am PST, but make sure you check in here first to see if you’re one of our lucky winners! With today’s sneak peeks, the Creative Team and I are taking a trip to the farm and a stop into the doghouse (in a good way!).
Are you ready to take on one more question of the day? By leaving a comment with your answer you’ll be entered to win one of our new release products or a Grand Prize mini ink pad bundle (all 12 colors)! The newest additions to our Paw-sitively Purrfect collection (shown below) inspired my question of the day. But, I don’t want to leave out our farm friends from the party so for answering today’s question, you’ll be entered to win the Build a Barn die set!
Leave your comment before Wednesday, June 8th at 11:59pm PST. One entry per person. Each comment will also be entered into our Grand Prize drawing for a full set of our new mini ink pads! Winners will be chosen at random and announced on Thursday, June 9th, 2016.
If you’re a fan of our Facebook page, then you may remember a while back we solicited your suggestions for the next two dog breeds to join our Paw-sitively Purrfect collection of pet themed Stamp & Die Combos. We then selected two breeds using the results from the poll (a poodle and a lab) and asked for your help in naming the two new dogs. Thanks to the help of our wonderful Facebook fans, I’m happy to introduce Max & Mimi:
For their part in naming our new pooches, I’ll be giving away each Stamp & Die Combo to the person who suggested the name we chose. For Mimi, that would be Deborah Chamulka and for Max, Amanda Farhang. Please contact us with your mailing address and we’ll get your prize sent to you! Thanks to all of our Facebook fans who helped these sets become a reality! We do lots of fun stuff on our Facebook page so if you’re not a fan yet, you can find us HERE.
Now that I have the giveaway announcements done, I can’t wait to share the card I made with the Build a Barn die set that we’re giving away today. If this cute cow doesn’t make you smile…
It’s “An Udder Birthday”… get it? I started by die cutting and assembling the barn pieces. I used one of my age old tricks with the hay. I didn’t quite have a right color cardstock so I cut the pieces from white cardstock and colored them with Copic marker. This trick works great with small pieces!
I stamped the cow onto Sugar Cube cardstock and color it with Copic markers as well and then die cut with the coordinating die. The party hat was stamped and hand-trimmed to top his head.
The background is embossed with the Cloudy Days embossing folder. After die cutting the rolling hill and coordinating farm fence for the backdrop, I assembled the scene and finished it off with a sentiment stamped in Oreo ink and die cut with the Banner Stacklets 4 die.

For my next card I took a little different direction. For most of us, our pets are like members of our family. When someone loses a pet, you want to send your caring thoughts their way, right? Our original Care & Comfort sets have been designed to express sympathy upon the loss of a loved one, and now we have a set specifically to share support upon the loss of a beloved furry friend; Care & Comfort – Pets. Here’s the simple card I came up with:
I started by embossing the paw prints onto a heart die cut from Cherry Pop cardstock. Then I lined up the paw prints and stamped in Oreo ink behind the heart. The sentiment is simple and the entire panel is mounted onto a piece of Oreo cardstock to set it apart from the card base.
I also decorated the inside of the card with another sentiment and our previously released Paw Print Border. It’s never fun to make a sympathy card, but it’s nice to have the right sentiment when the occasion arises.
