We used to carve pumpkins but now that my son is all grown up it does not happen in our house. I miss doing this.

  • Julie Bitner

I don’t remember carving pumpkins growing up – perhaps once or twice? Now, I just buy several pumpkins and set them on our porch. We don’t carve them – that way, they stay there until Thanksgiving.

  • TracyM #6773

We carve pumpkins with our grand children. We typically visit a local farmer to purchase the pumpkins. We also leave some unvaried as well!!

  • Heidi H

We do carve pumpkins, although I really don’t like taking all the seeds and slimy stuff out. If that could be done for me, I’d be happy to carve. Otherwise, I’d prefer just to leave uncarved pumpkins out, because those are pretty and less messy!

  • Mel H

I don’t carve pumpkins because I’m awful at it but I can buy carved fake pumpkins and use them!

  • Barb R

I love pumpkins and use the for fall decorating. But I really enjoyed watching my daughter and husband carve pumpkins with his drill and hand saws – it was a hoot!! Our family never carved pumpkins when I was little, so I never have in adulthood, although I do fall decorating with pumpkins. Our kids, however, do carve pumpkins each year, and do an amazing job at it! Thanks for the chance to win a gift certificate.

  • Amy McClintock

I have some great memories of carving pumpkins with our kids. We have some great pictures of the MESS it makes!! We only did that a few times. Now we just put out fun shapes and colors of pumpkins and gourds.

We didn’t carve them growing up, but our three sons loved carving pumpkins. It was always fun to see their personalities in their creations! • Jackie Parkins

I tried carving a pumpkin with my kids when they were little and it was a hot mess. We just threw the seeds out in the yard and the next year we wondered what was growing – it was more pumpkins! The kids are grown and living in different cities, so we don’t really decorate for Halloween anymore, but I love making Halloween cards! Your new stamps and dies are awesome!

  • Cheri N

I don’t remember carving pumpkins as a kid. Our small community had a Halloween Parade on the town square. We did carve a pumpkin with our daughter when she was small. Now, I just set pumpkins outside for decoration! Looks like fall with pumpkins!

  • Dayle Schenk

We didn’t carve pumpkins when I was growing up but did when I became a parent. I enjoyed the process every year with my son, up until he left for college. And now as a dad himself, he enjoys carving with his children. And they do put out some masterpieces!

  • Mary Faith

No more carving pumpkins. Haven’t in quite a while. Now I just decorate the porch with Halloween stuff.

  • Danielle Flynn

We definitely did carve pumpkins as kids but now that I’m a mom and I have a 5 year old son I wonder how my mom did it with us!! It’s so messy!!! Although I love the smell of a fresh carved pumpkin! My husband is an art major and worked for Disney’s art department so he always tries to out do himself from the year prior! Lol and seeing all these spooktacular release i need to have it all!! The talented ladies did a fabulous job with sneaks!! Can’t wait until tomorrow morning!!!

  • Anne Sturgeon

Oh spooktacular day!!! I am in Halloween heaven…. today is the best sneak peek day. All of these creations make me start itching to get busy. I love the fingerprint spiders and the spider web is awesome. I am crazy for white pumpkins. Mostly just to decorate with. My youngest remarried and I now have a 5 and 8 year old granddaughter, so we may need to do a little carving. Such a fun preview and I am loving everything.

  • Jean Marmo

We haven’t in a couple of years, but now that I have a 2 year old granddaughter, it is time to start agaiN!

  • Chris DuBois

Well, we used to grow giant pumpkins when we lived up north. They were a challenge to get from the garden to the front porch even with a wheel barrow and to carve. Now we buy them from the church as a fundraiser -fall is always a fun time. My son still carves them and he is very creative as is you new release.

  • Amanda Rutter

I loved carving pumpkins as a child we did it 3 days before Halloween otherwise they got rotten so fast! Now I just set out a whole pumpkin if I put one out love fall

  • Diane B

I carved pumpkins as a kid and we also made pumpkins seeds with in inerds. When I had kids I carried on the same tradition. Currently waiting for grandkids to show them how it is done.

  • Maria Leininger

FUN, FUN, FUN! What a delightful assortment of Halloween stamps and dies. My wish list is growing by leaps and bounds. Those zombie kids are spectacular by Angelica Conrad.
We don’t carve our pumpkins, but I do like the look of them sitting on our front steps; however, the squirrels love to carve the pumpkins, getting to the seeds inside.

  • Cindy Gaulke

I carved pumpkins every Halloween as a kid. Now I use whole pumpkins to decorate the porch & lots of mini pumpkins inside. The faux pumpkins available now are pretty good looking and fun to decorate with vinyl (and a lot easier to clear-up!).

  • Christine Dring

Wow! What incredible creations by the design team! Yes, we carve pumpkins for Halloween. Love to see the images lit up from inside, plus bonus: pumpkin seeds! Thanks for the chance to win!

  • Gloria

My husband and I still carve pumpkins. We set it on our fireplace hearth to enjoy until it starts going bad!:)

  • Dianne Lorento

We always tried to carve when the kids were young, but the guts grossed them out & we’d get 10 minutes in and they were off to the next adventure. Nowadays we stick with the whole pumpkins. What a great release this is!

  • Linda Bolhofner

We used to carve pumpkins, my son and daughter still do with their families. I do not, but I love to put a nice varied pile of pumpkins out to Welcome trick or treaters. I love Halloween ? fun, spooky, and the best part TREATS!!!!!!?????????

  • Cynthia Evanoff

I still carve pumpkins (age 67) and they stay outside on the rock wall until the are moldy and shrunken.

  • carol

Yes to carving pumpkins! Even though we don’t have kids of our own, I love Halloween, especially making mini cards/tags for my niece, nephew, their classmates and teachers! The products shared here are definitely on my ‘want’ list! Spook-tacular!
    ~carol

  • Ruth Duochen

As a child we never carved our pumpkins because we ended up using the pumpkin seeds and cooking the inside of the pumpkins. However when I got married and had a child my husband and son always carved our pumpkins. My son has been carving them since he was a child and he is really good at it as an adult.

  • Karen Harris

I like to leave the pumpkins whole. Then, after Halloween, I cut them up and stew them for pumpkin rolls and pies. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to craft for – the designs are so much fun! This release is simply Spooktacular!!

  • Evan

We like to carve using templates.

  • Kathi

Love getting the release. Love Halloween. Can’t wait to try some of the new release. Thanks for the chance to win!

  • Jill Heffner

We carved pumpkins when I was a kid but now I like to sit uncarved pumpkins and gourds on the porch.

  • Lisascreativeniche

Love these! We’ve always carved pumpkins since I was a kid and we still do. The kids draw the designs while we do most of the cutting!

  • Robin Poupard

Dang…I forgot to answer your question in the last comment!! If kids are here we carve. If not, we leave them whole.

  • Robin Poupard

I like Halloween but I don’t make cards for it so I’m not sure what I would use for the Halloween themed stuff. I do love the Gatefold Reveal 2 set though and the ghosts are sure cute for that. I resisted the other gatefold but I think I’ll get this one!

  • Michelle Argumedo

    WOWZA
What an awesome howling release you have put out. My wish list gets longer and longer. Well the question to carve or not to carve. When my girls were at home we always carved our pumpkins and set them out with a candle in them on the front porch one for each step. Now that I am an empty Nester I typically put my pumpkins out with corn stocks and other fall decorations. That way I get to use them much longer I typically keep them out until Thanksgiving then.

Can’t wait to see you later today !!
    Shelly Argumedo

  • PHYLLIS FREESE

We always carved pumpkins when our children were small, but don’t do it any more now that they’re on their own. We do try to grow pumpkins, but not always successful.

  • Daria Zender

Such great new stamps and dies!! Love today’s inspiration, too. My husband and I carved Jack O’ Lanterns growing up and did the same with our two girls while they still lived at home.

We did when my kids were small but not anymore. I use lit pumpkins now. Love the release!!

  • Karen W.

Yes to carving if only to get the pumpkin seeds- yum!

  • Angie VC

When the kids were little, they loved carving but made me pull out the guts! We no longer do this as they are adults but we put out the pumpkins for fall!

  • Michelle Uhlenhake

Not any more, but I remember doing it as a kid! With my kids I think we painted pumpkins more than we carved them. This release is amazing…thanks for all the inspiration!

  • Georgia Henson

We always carved pumpkins when I was a kid. Now, both my sons have to have their own pumpkins so they can design their own. My older son turned his into an owl last year. If I do it, it’s simple triangles for eyes because I’m scary with a carving knife. ?

  • Kari S

Yes, we carve pumpkins. We usually do it pretty late in the season, because it is still warm in TX and the pumpkins don’t last long once they are carved. We also roast the seeds! Happy Halloween!

  • Michelle Woodrum

We use to carve pumpkins every year when our daughters were little, but now they are grown. the pumpkins sit on our steps not carved. I have turkey parts (head, feathers, feet) I stick in them for Thanksgiving.

  • Linda

I don’t carve pumpkins any more. I have a ceramic jack-o- lantern with light that I put in the bow window. Sometimes I would catch one of my black cats beside it. No black cat this year.

  • Noreen

Who would think zombies could be so cute!! When we carved pumpkins, we would take photos of us behind the pumpkin we carved. Then we would take another photo of us with our head above the pumpkin, making the same face we had carved on the pumpkin. We have some great photos and wonderful memories!

  • Kelsey Thomas

Love the new release! 🙂 So much cuteness. I don’t usually carve pumpkins for Halloween. We always baked the pumpkins and made pie.

  • DJ Doss

I’m loving this release! We never carved pumpkins when I was young. I carved my first pumpkin in my 40s and haven’t done it since. I carved a cat face and made ears for it. Turned out pretty cute. IMHO, of course.

  • Heidi Vickerman

The best part of carving pumpkins is to then roast the seeds! Yum.

  • Kelly Santi

We did carve pumpkins as kids! We moved often as a military family so some years they were harder to find 🙂 And I do it now as a mom to 4 and it is a tradition every year to Head to the local farm and find “the one!” Love the new release !!

  • Carolyn C

We did carve them when I was a kid and we did when my kids were young, but we don’t do it now that they are grown. I am amazed at the creativity of pumpkin carving now though! Halloween is my favorite card making season too. I will be using some of this release this year for sure!

  • Jeanne Jenner

We always a fall pumpkins and other fall bounty that we grow, but I don’t carve pumpkins any more.

  • JoAnn

We never carved pumpkins as a child. When we were raising our children we would go to the pumpkin patch and they would each get a pumpkin. Some years they would carve them and other years they wouldn’t. Now I put sand filled artificial pumpkins on the porch. They don’t rot or get smashed! Can be used multiple years !

  • Debbie Carter

We didn’t carve pumpkins at our house when I was a kid in 60s, but I have sure made up for it in the past 30 years! It is not uncommon for me to carve 4 or 5 each year!

  • Jan Mancini

OMG! Those little Zombies! So ugly they are cute! And I already had to get the mini strips so will be adding the Halloween phrases too! You guys are on a roll!

  • Juanita McStraw

Oh my gosh, that Halloween card is the absolute cutest!!! I love Halloween and give my children and grandchildren tons of candy. To carve or not to carve ? CARVE, it’s a long time tradition with my family for generations, one i would never change ever, it’s so much fun. My children, grandchildren and I (at 66) still do it, we are always so thrilled to show our latest creations off to everyone in the neighborhood as well as each other. Love it!!!

  • Linda Alleman

Nope, we don’t carve pumpkins. But like you, we do put uncarved pumpkins on our front porch. We have some ceramic “carved” pumpkins that we put out as well. Halloween is so much fun!!

  • Michelle Nicholas

I always carved pumpkins when I was growing up. We’ve done it a few times with my kids now, but not every year.

  • Kris Palakiko

I didn’t get to carve pumpkins when I was a kid. It wasn’t really a big thing in my family. Since having children of my own, we instilled the tradition of pumpkin carving. Most years we’d just let the kids go wild with their carvings at home and some years we’d host a big pumpkin carving bbq. Complete with the pumpkins lining up the pathway to our front door on Halloween. I hope we can carry on the tradition even though my kids are getting older.

  • Karen

I just gotta have the Witch Boot Tag!! More Mini Strips…Yay!! We carved pumpkins when I was a child then my Dad cleaned the pumpkin seeds and roasted them for us to eat. I continued the pumpkin carving with my children but not the seed roasting, too much work 😉

  • Terrie D.

These cards and tags are awesome!! I just love all the new Halloween products you have coming out! My husband and I get together with his brother and SIL every year to carve pumpkins. They always have a party and his brother even makes pumpkin chili! We always have a fun time. 🙂

  • Becca Yahrling

No, we don’t carve pumpkins nor do I remember us doing it as kids. I think we just weren’t creative! lol
And it always looks so fun! Just like today’s products and projects.

  • Loretta Neighbors

I love carved pumpkins and have carved them since childhood, continuing when I became a mom. Empty nester now, but I still love one or more carved pumpkins on my porch, to greet a new generation of Trick Or Treaters! Your products keep getting better and better as your company has grown. This collection is wonderful!

  • Susan Weida

Definitely carve! We always carved pumpkins as kids and we carved when our kids were younger. We’ve carved numerous craft pumpkins and use them from year to year. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new Halloween arrivals!!

  • Ronda M.

Oh my goodness…such Halloween cuteness! We don’t usually carve pumpkins…just decorate with un-carved ones!

  • Kim K.

We occasionally carve a pumpkin, but mostly leave in tack for porch decoration. After the season – usually Thanksgiving Day, we’ll cut a hole in the pumpkins and leave them out for the squirrels … they love the pumpkin seeds and are quite entertaining to watch. Love the new products!!!

  • Debbie Br

When the kids were young we always carved pumpkins. One year I carved two really elaborate pumpkins and woke up the next morning to find that someone had liberated them, along with my crystal candle stick holders!
Now I have two realistic fake ones that are battery operated!

  • Sue D

Carved pumpkins as a kid and did it a few times with our kids but I rather just decorate with plain pumpkins.

  • Dawn S

Yes we always have had a family gathering a few days before Halloween to carve pumpkins. Everyone joins in and usually ends with flicking the pumpkin seeds at each other or chasing someone with a handful of pumpkin slime. Fun times!

  • Emma Sleppy

I think we carved out a pumpkin once when I was a kid, many moons ago! Love the Halloween goodies!!

  • Laraine R

More fabulous goodies today! Love the spider web card!! Halloween is also a favorite of mine! No do not carve pumpkins. We tried a couple of times when the kids were little-but didn’t turn out, so I always just put pumkins on the steps from then on.

  • Avra N Williams

I never did as a child either, but my husband carved pumpkins with our kids when they were little. Now I have a ceramic jack o lantern that I put out!

  • Deb W.

We always carve a pumpkin or two for the front porch. If we have time we also put up spider webs with funky plastic spiders in them. Another must is playing the scary Halloween music CD. Soooooooo fun!

  • Beth KS

We used to carve pumpkins when our kids were little. My oldest always hated the feel of the pumpkin “guts” so he refused to clean his own! I’ve carved some pretty elaborate pumpkins in my time. Now that both kids are in college, my husband and I don’t carve pumpkins anymore 🙁 Also….I think our dogs would be trying to nibble on them every time they went outside!

  • Susan Engblom

Growing up many years ago, we didn’t carve pumpkins. Guess my mom didn’t want the mess. I love all the intricate carvings you see now, but I also like painted pumpkins.

  • Candi V

Yes my kids ALWAYS carved pumpkins with me. We did it for the seeds so I could roast them for eating. I had a neighbor give me 2 gallon bags of seeds on year. I love roasted pumpkin seeds. Bring on Fall. I need to carve a pumpkin!

  • Julia D.

Another wonderful release! Love the “cute” zombie kids! When I was a kid we carved pumpkins every Halloween. I don’t have kids so I no longer carve them but I have fond memories of doing it when I was young. Thank you for the chance to win!!

  • Meghan Kennihan

The spider webs are darling! I used to carve pumpkins every year all the way up until my 30s… but now it’s just me and my pup so instead of making a mess I decorate the house with cute little fake pumpkins and one outside!

  • Cyndi Morris

While I no longer carve pumpkins for Halloween, I definitely did when my son was young. Once we got past scraping out the seeds, it was fun! Now I visit my grandchildren to see their “creations.” Just a note — I would never have described zombies as “cute,” but the ones in this release are absolutely adorable.

  • Julie Camell

When our daughters were home we always carved pumpkins. But now as empty nesters we put whole pumpkins on the porch for decor both for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

  • Natasha Trupp

Totally Carve! Sometimes we do the basic jack’o’lantern type face, other times we take a stab (ha!) at other designs, like a ghost or a haunted house. It’s so fun, plus then I get to bake the pumpkin seeds !

  • Sherry H.

We always carved pumpkins growing up and I still carve one each Halloween. Its messy and they aren’t ever anything fancy but we roast the pumpkins seeds and enjoy seeing the few little trick or treaters that make it up our road.

  • Sandie Obrin

Heck yea, we used to carve pumpkins. There were 4 of us kids and we each got to go to the farmer’s market and pick it out, take it home, and carve it up. The best part was playing with the insides once we were done! My mom always had apple cider and homemade oatmeal/raisin cookies for us to enjoy while carving the pumpkins! Great memories!

  • Lin Brandyberry

No, I don’t remember carving pumpkins growing up, and we maybe did it only once or twice with our kids…….I have one of those foam pumpkins from JoAnn’s that looks like it’s carved that I sometimes use to decorate with for Halloween. Loved all the cards today!

  • Chanda Mullen

My family carved pumpkins annually when I was a child, but my husband and I prefer I carved pumpkins on our front porch during the Fall season.

  • Ethan

    We carve but nothing fancy.

  • Ashley Simmer

We love to carve pumpkins! It’s pulling the guts out of the pumpkins that we don’t care for lol they smell awful!

  • Evelyn

We do not carve pumpkins. My dad did it when we were growing up, but as an adult I prefer the non-carved pumpkins outside.

  • Gramma Dee

We never even HAD pumpkins growing up–before “global warming” our summers were just too short to grow them up here. I remember a couple of Halloween parties when w invited over all the neighbourhood kids to carve pumpkins (What was I THINKING???). My adult kids each have pumpkin carving traditions with their own families. And if I am lucky, I can be around when they are doing this and take photos!

  • Julie B.

We always carved pumpkins with our kids. Now that we are empty nesters, my husband always makes sure he still carves at least one. If he can talk one of the kids into coming over he would be happy to carve one with them to this day. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to make cards for. I love the colors and the variety of things to do. This release is cute and those mini strips are perfect! I can’t wait to get them.

  • Debra Bridgewater

nope to not carve…I like the look of uncarved pumpkins sitting out!

  • Diane Anthony

I don’t typically decorate for Halloween, so I don’t carve pumpkins. I prefer lots of whole pumpkins that I can enjoy the whole autumn season!

  • Pam S

Our kids are all grown now but we totally used to carve all our pumpkins with super intricate patterns. And our house was known on the block as having the best pumpkins! It was quite the undertaking but I guarantee our kids have great memories from doing it! Now it makes me want to bring it back this year as adults! Who knows? Could be a new family tradition!

  • Linda Gorman

No I don’t anymore. But I had lots of fun doing it when my kids were little!!!

  • Martha Acord

We always carve the pumpkin! I am so in love with this release. Thank you, Taylor and staff for sharing your talents with us!!
