Today, I have a video to share with you that features a really unique gatefold design from Taylor and more inspiration from the TE Creative team using the new goodies from the release.

Today’s video comes from Taylor and it’s a beautiful interlocking gatefold card featuring the new In Bloom Cling & Clear Combo set. Watch the video below to learn how to create this card:

In the video, Taylor walks you through how to use the In Bloom Cling & Clear Combo set. She embosses the background image in gold and adds the color fills using the included clear stamps. Then, Taylor walks you through the steps to create an interlocking gate fold card – it’s easier than it looks!

Here’s a closer look at the new products that Taylor used on her card:

Make a whimsical background of stylized flowers with our In Bloom Cling & Clear Combo set. In addition to a red rubber stamp featuring a fun pattern of whimsical flowers, leaves and dots, the set includes six clear, photopolymer stamps to fill the blossoms and leaves with color.

Expand your sentiment options with the Botanical Sentiments stamp set. The set includes seven sentiments featuring a classy script and capital sans serif fonts that cover a wide range of occasions.

Choose from the nine sentiments in the Perfect Parent stamp set (both snarky & sweet) for the inside (or front!) of your card. These sentiments are perfect for expressing gratitude to a parent or other people who have given you support in your life.

At first glance, the card looks like it will open as expected when you lift the flaps on the front, but look at how the center element on the card pulls apart… it’s such a fun and unexpected surprise! The ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ sentiment on the circle is from the Botanical Sentiments stamp set. I love how Taylor fussy cut a few floral elements from an additional background that she embossed and stamped to add around the circular frame. Make sure you watch the video for a few tips and tricks to make sure things are adhered in the right places!

Inside the card, Taylor added a border on the bottom with the In Bloom Cling & Clear Combo set to coordinate with the front of the card. The ‘I may not be perfect…’ sentiment is from the new Perfect Parent stamp set and this one has a bit of snark to it! There are both snarky and sweet sentiments included in the set!

Here’s a more in-depth look at a few of the new products from the Mother’s Day release, along with inspiration from the TE Creative Team:

Here’s another card created with the In Bloom Cling & Clear Combo set that I created (Heather Nichols). I stamped the background in Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock, added the color fills while keeping everything lined up in my MISTI, and then stamped the background again over the top so I would have a crisp white image. I used the new On the Block – Mom stamp and coordinating die to create a shaker element on my card and filled it with Bit & Pieces – Full of Heart confetti.

While the first impression is to create a card full of color with the In Bloom Cling & Clear Combo set, I love the monochromatic look that Latisha Yoast created! She stamped the background in Cherry Pop ink onto a Lollipop card base and added the color fills to just a few small areas with Lollipop and Cherry Pop inks. You could create this look with so many different color families – how fun would a rainbow set of this card design be?! The sentiment is created with the On the Block – Mom stamp (+ coordinating die) and the Mini Strips – You’re the Best stamp.

Make mom a Mother’s Day card that shows just how much you care with our Dear Mom stamp. The stamp’s size and beautiful handwritten font make it perfect for a card front, and it can be accented with sentiments from our Simple and Mini Strips or Building Blocks collections, as well as those included in our sweet and snarky Perfect Parent stamp set (sold separately).

I love how Jill Hawkins inked up the Dear Mom stamp with several different colors to create an ombre effect (mini ink cubes work great for this!) and then did the kissing technique (pressing one stamp onto another to transfer a pattern) with the Gathered Greenery Background stamp. Inside the card, she stamped one of the snarky sentiments from the Perfect Parent stamp set over a bit of color blending to coordinate with the front of the card.

If you love our Diamond Botanical stamp set, I am pretty sure you’ll love the new Circle Botanical stamp set too! The Circle Botanical stamp set features a circle shaped frame that is adorned with botanical greenery. Pair the frame with one of the greetings in the set to create an elegant look.

Annette Allen embossed the frame from the Circle Botanical stamp set in white on Fruit Punch cardstock, cut it out with scissors, and used one of the dies from the Mini Slim Trifold Template + Dies – Circle set to cut out the middle of the frame and add the stitching detail. She layered the frame onto Blue Corn cardstock and added the ‘just because’ sentiment from the Botanical Sentiments stamp set embossed in white into the frame opening. The Bits & Pieces – Drip Drops are the perfect touch to add to the berries on the frame for dimension and shine!

Everything is coming up rainbows with this Mini Slim card set created by Laurie Willison! She stamped the frame image from the Circle Botanical stamp set onto each of the card bases using Versamark ink and added initials to the frame opening with the Typewriter Alpha stamp set to personalize the card set for her grandmother. Love the embossed frame that Laurie added to the card front using a scoring tool and she stamped the ‘thinking of you’ sentiment from the Botanical Sentiments stamp set inside the cards.
