Ink Blending Color Combo Inspiration!
Hi Crafty Friend, Taylor here! Blending and color play are some of the most joyful parts of crafting, but they can also feel a little tricky when you looking for color combos. This week’s release was created to help you have more fun with color while making the most of your time at your craft table!
Our new Palette Layering Stencils were designed to give you a simple, playful way to explore color. As you blend through each layer, you’re building a finished image and testing out a color combo at the same time. The little squares along the side capture your four colors in action, and when you’re done, you can cut that strip with the Palette Swatch Die and save it for future reference. Then you can trim your blended image and turn it into a beautiful project. It is a fun way to swatch and craft at the same time!
We also added a few new blending tools to our collection! Blender Brushes – Rainbow 2 has a fresh rainbow of color handled brushes to help you keep your blending organized by color family. And our teal Pigment Pouncers have comfortable handles that are great for pigment inks and fun inky techniques.

Deby Bauer created both a cool-toned and warm-toned color combo with her cards! One features cool purples and bright blues paired with rose gold foil for a crisp, luminous look. The other leans warm with golden yellows and soft oranges, finished with Gold Shimmer foil for a cozy glow.
Emily Mydlowski created two totally different looks! Her Hooray card bursts with bold, happy colors and rainbow Stars and Sparkle Fun Foil, while her Petal Palette design uses pastel purples and Jelly Donut Fun Foil for a soft monochromatic look.
Amy Kolling shared two beautiful color stories in her projects! Her Leafy Palette card features deep, rich colors with a bright touch of Sweet Potato Pie and Champagne Fun Foil for contrast. For her Hooray design, she chose a trendy Christmas color combo that brings a fresh twist to a classic festive palette.
Jill Hawkins created two bright and cheerful cards for this releas! Her Hooray design features a fun color combo of pinks, lime green, and bright blue with Silver Shimmer Fun Foil, while her Leafy Palette card leans into a fall feel with teal, blue, orange, and a touch of honey.
Heather Nichols focused on exploring purples in her color combos! On one card, she blended directly onto Macaron cardstock, giving her colors a soft, warm, muted feel. On the other, she blended on white so her purples appear brighter and more defined. It’s a lovely example of how cardstock choice can shift the whole mood of a project.
Melody Rupple shared two beautiful takes on the Palette Layering Stencils! Her cool-toned blend feels calm and serene, while her second project goes bold with a color combo for a bright, joyful look. She used Cookie Monster Fun Foil on her Leafy Palette card and Gold Fun Foil on her Hooray Palette card.
Lori Craig shared two beautiful color combos in her projects! One leans soft with light pastels, while the other warms things up with orange, yellow, pink, and tan. She used Fun Foil on both cards to give an extra pop of shine!
