TESC130 – Give Thanks
As much as I complain about the coming snow and the drudges of winter, I really do love the months leading up to winter! I love the season of fall… seeing the pumpkins on porches, the leaves changing color, and the crisp air filling my lungs. It’s such a refreshing and beautiful time of year! So I decided to try to capture fall in my creation today with the Celebrate Life stamp set. This set is filled with versatile silhouette images and even a few that can be colored with Copics (like the pumpkin). I started by stamping the background images in Olive Pastel, Dark Brown, and Pumpkin Spice chalk inks. I added the sentiment and small chocolate pearls to each of the mod flower centers. Then I stamped the pumpkin, colored it in with Copics, and cut it out with Spellbinders. I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use the new Basic Grey Pyrus 6×6 pad that I’ve been hoarding and this card provided it. I matched up patterns from the paper pad (along with Suede Brown Dark and Papaya Puree Dark cardstock) in keeping with the sketch. I popped the pumpkin up on foam squares and called it good!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you’ll play along with the sketch challenge and have a wonderful weekend!
