Sneak Peeks Day 3: Hangin’ Out at the Beach, 4th of July A la Carte
Good morning! Thanks for tuning in for our sneak peeks over the last two days. I hope you’ve seen something that inspires you to get creative! Today the Baker’s Dozen and I are sharing sneak peeks using one more stamp set, three A la Carte stamps, and one Project Pantry kit. All of the new products you’ve seen during the past three days of sneak peeks will be available for purchase tomorrow, Friday, June 4th, at 8am PST!
Do you remember our Hangin’ Out stamp set that was released last month? That’s a bit of a silly question because it has been wildly popular! This month we’re following it up with another addition to the series – Hangin’ Out At the Beach, illustrated by Nancy McKinney. You’ll find a little bit of everything in this set to create fabulous beach-themed cards, layouts, and projects! One of my favorite parts about the Hangin’ Out stamp sets is that I get to make all the choices. I get to determine how long I want my clothesline (or if I want any clothesline at all) and exactly what I want to hang on it. And now with two sets to coordinate there are even more options… no two cards will ever be the same! Now are you ready to get to the sneak peek? I am SUPER excited about the project that I have to share with you today! When Jon and I take vacations I like to keep trinkets, receipts, ticket stubs, and photographs as mementos of the trip. I usually just rubber band them together with the best intentions to scrapbook them later…. and then ‘later’ never comes! Sound like a familiar story to you? Well, this time I decided to be proactive and create this vacation memories box using the TE Perfect Package! It’s already perfectly decorated (so I don’t have to feel guilty for not scrapbooking!) and it will make an organized home for all of our vacation photos and trinkets. I’m already envisioning themed boxes for our future vacation destinations! Now for the nitty gritty details on the outside of the box. I used patterned paper and a coordinating button from the Fancy Pants Rusted Sun collection. The wave pattern, sentiment, and palm tree are from the Hangin’ Out at the Beach set and I cut the striped surfboard from the Rusted Sun patterned paper. I think my favorite part of the box is the detailing at the bottom. I used the Bubbles border punch and accents each circle with Crystal Tiny Twinkles. Before I discovered Embellie Gellie, I probably wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of adding the Tiny Twinkles, but this must-have tool makes it too easy not to! As you can see in the picture above, I also covered the inside of the box with patterned paper and created a mini travel journal to keep track of all the trip details!
Now let’s move on to our 4th of July stamps. The 4th of July isn’t usually a big papercrafting holiday for me, but why? Well, I think it’s because I didn’t have many (or any!) 4th of July stamps! So I set out to illustrate a few simple options for our 4th of July papercrafts and I think you’re going to love them! I’ve designed three new 4th of July A la Carte stamps as part of the TE collection and I’m featuring God Bless the USA on my card today. I started with the 6×6 Star Shower stencil. I laid the stencil on top of cream cardstock inside my Color Catcher spritz box and spritzed it with Cherry Metallic Maya Mist. I inked the stamp with Memento Lady Bug and Paris Dusk ink. Then I used my Quickie Glue Pen to add Fire Engine Red glitter to the sparklers. I also added a red star rhinestone to the center of each sparkler. Many of the ingredients I used to create this card are part of another Project Pantry kit we’ve put together for this release!
For just $14.95 you’ll receive the following perfectly coordinated supplies for your 4th of July papercrafting:
- 9 sheets of cardstock (3 each Red, Blue, Cream)
- 20 sheets of 6×6 double-sided patterned paper from the We R Memory Keepers Old Glory Collection
- 4.5 yards of ribbon (1.5 yards each of 3 different styles)
- 30 Star Rhinestones (Red, White, Blue)
- 6×6 Star Shower stencil
- 1 Jar of Fire Engine Red Glitter
You’ll also have the option of purchasing the 4th of July Project Pantry with all three A la Carte stamps for $26.95. This is a discount of approximately 10% when you purchase the Project Pantry with stamps!
