Stamp a Sweet Impression – Sneak Peek Day 1
Good morning! The first official sneak peek day has finally arrived (shhh… don’t tell the rest of the Baker’s Dozen that I let a little peek out yesterday!). I am so excited to share the five new Stamp a Sweet Impression sets with you leading up to the release on Friday, January 2nd at midnight EST (that’s 9pm on Thursday for those of us on the West Coast) at Taylored Expressions! We’ve been working super hard to create lots of fun images to help us all start 2009 with a bang. Today, the Baker’s Dozen Design Team and I are bringing you sneak peeks from three coordinating sets filled with Calendar Cuppies and appropriately named: A Year of Sweets 1, A Year of Sweets 2, and a Year of Sweets 3! Along with these fun stamp sets, Taylored Expressions is also releasing several options for creating custom calendars! My first project showcases our Frame Your Imagination vertical stand and coordinating 6×6 calendar inserts. The calendar inserts and Frame Your Imagination stands were designed to be used with the Calendar Cuppies, but the possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Use them to frame a scrapbook layout, recipes for the kitchen, or Bible verses. The frames are beautifully crafted, sanded smooth, and left to be finished with a coat of paint in the color of your choice. I painted mine white to match the accents in my stamp room. As you can see in the photo above, the dated calendar inserts are blank. Also, you don’t want to forget to grab a set of our 6×6 page protectors to frame your creations for hanging! I stamped the June calendar image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, paper pieced the patchwork blanket, and colored the rest of the image with Copic markers. I also wanted to show you a closeup of one of my favorite images, Mr. September. lol Again, I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. I added red pearls to the cherry on both the busdriver and cuppie. I also added pewter brads to the wheels and Glossy Accents to the windows on the bus. The second Taylored Expressions coordinating calendar product is equally as cool and useful too! One of my design team members, Jami Sibley, concepted this idea for a perpetual birthday calendar like none I’ve seen before… it’s traditional with a twist! Each month is separated by a blank, customizable insert from which your calendar hangs. The Calendar Cuppies were designed to fit perfectly on these inserts, but again the possibilities are limitless! Each calendar is printed on 100 lb. cardstock perfect for using with your Copic markers. Decorate each blank insert and fill in the names of friends and family for a cute birthday reminder calendar. I decided to use a Spellbinders scalloped square to layer behind each of my insert images. Once again I colored my images with Copic markers. The great thing about these images is that they’re detailed enough to stand alone, but easy to embellish all over! And I wanted to show you one more closeup of the lovely February scene. I love this sweet Cuppie couple with Cupid overhead. Do you feel the love!? I know you’re all going to be floored with what the Baker’s Dozen Design Team has come up with using images from A Year of Sweets and the coordinating calendar products!
