Borders & Corners!!
Whew… what a hectic weekend! The garage sale on Saturday was a blast! Although I’m sure most of you know how draining a garage sale can be! At the end of the sale, I thought that boxing up my sets that didn’t sell might actually kill me! LOL! Stay tuned later tonight or tomorrow as I’ll be posting the leftovers for all of you to munch on! My parents also returned on Saturday from a long vacation back to our hometown of Sioux City, Iowa. So yesterday was spent catching up with them and celebrating my mom’s birthday that happened while she was away. By about 9pm last night I just couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. So that’s the long story about why this post is coming a day late. I’m sure you’ve all seen the new Borders and Corners stamp sets from PaperTrey that released yesterday! Aren’t they awesome!? I love how Nichole used the same elements in each stamp set! The sets are so fun and easy to work with and they really do match the punches EXACTLY! These are a couple of my favorites from the cards I created. For the Blocked Ladybug card, I masked around the outside of the scallop punches and sponged the inside with Bashful Blue ink. I kept the masks on, lined up the ladybug trail, and stamped it with VersaMagic Midnight Black ink. You can see the full list of supplies here. For the baby card I created the blocked background using the double-line square stamp. I didn’t take the time to perfectly measure it out, but because these sets are acrylic, this background can be achieved quickly and easily without a ruler! You can see the full list of supplies for this card here. Yesterday also marked the release of the Dirty Dozen Gallery on Splitcoast! Make sure you check it out and give a warm welcome to the newest designers! This was my last month in the Dirty Dozen. *sniff, sniff* I really appreciated the opportunity to be a part of such a talented group of women! I’m sure you all know this, but the coordinator JulieHRR is nothing short of amazing! Thanks for the opportunity, Julie! And thank you to all of you who have supported and encouraged me over the past six months! It is appreciated more than you know! (((HUGS)))
