Gamsol Favorites Revisted
Good morning, crafty friends! I hope you enjoyed the Gamsol technique video yesterday and had a chance to check out our new Gamsol Starter Kit.
The technique of blending pencils with Gamsol is quite simple and helps you achieve stunning results on your stamped images. Today I thought I’d revisit a couple of my favorite projects using this technique:
All of our Big Blooms stamps make a great canvas for Gamsol blending. On this particular project, I chose to stamp onto Toffee cardstock for a little bit different look. I find that I have to layer my pencils a little bit more than I do on our Sugar Cube cardstock in order to achieve the vibrant color of this flower. I probably spent about 45 min. or more coloring the flower, but it was relaxing and the results were worth it! If you’re just getting started with Gamsol, I’d recommend beginning with smaller images and working your way up to these large images.
Decorating your envelopes is another great use for the Gamsol blending technique as it does not bleed through the thinner paper of an envelope and still allows you to achieve that beautifully blended image to make a great first impression on the recipient!
And just in case you missed it the first time, here’s a look a quick video showing how I stamped and colored these envelopes using our Snail Mail stamp set:
