Sending Joy With Jen!
Hey, crafty friends! What are some of your favorite stamping techniques? Or maybe there are some techniques that you would love to try out or get better at? The best way to learn or get better at a technique is to practice, of course, and you can use that practice to create more handmade cards along the way!
Today, TE Creative Team Member Jen Shults has a collection of notecards that incorporate watercoloring. Watercolor has been a big trend in the paper crafting world and one that I personally love to take time to practice or even learn a new technique with. Let’s take a look at what Jen created!
Jen used the Mandala Background 2 stamp on her cards and alternated stamping with Oreo ink and embossing the image with white embossing powder onto watercolor cardstock for her card set. She used liquid watercolors to color in the mandala image and background.
I love how just changing the main image color from black to white can give your project a whole different look! Jen used the Double Ended Flag Stacklet dies to add sentiments to her cards, playing with the black and white combinations to make the sentiment pop on each version. Because Jen used an image that doesn’t have a specific theme, she was able use sentiments for a bunch of different occasions in her cards set.
Who doesn’t love a fun, coordinating envelope to send your cards out in? Adding a bit of ink blended along one edge in a color that coordinates with your card design is a quick and easy way to brighten them up. The “please deliver to:” sentiment from the Love Mail stamp set is the perfect finishing touch!
Jen stamped the back of her cards with the “handstamped by” personalized stamp that is available for a limited time in the Personalized Pop-Up Shop through February 3rd. I love how she alternated her ink colors to coordinate with her the designs in her cards set!
Make sure you order your own personalized stamp from the Personalized Pop-Up Shop! The 4 Taylor-made designs are only available through February 3rd. Click the link below for more details and to order your stamp today!
