Thank Our Health Care Workers With NEW Mini Strips + FREE Download!
Hey, crafty friends! I don’t know about you, but I am so grateful for everything that is being done to take care of sick patients while I am staying at home to stay safe during this COVID-19 crisis. I want to do something to express my thanks and once again I turn to something I am good at and enjoy: crafting and card making. It might seem small, but even a small expression of gratitude can go a long way to bring joy into someone’s day.
Here at Taylored Expressions, we want to help all of you to Share Joy and say thank you. We have a new Mini Strips stamp set and a FREE digital download to share with you today that are perfect to do just that. Keep scrolling for all of the details and how I created the card set to thank health care workers pictured at the top of this post.
We are so excited to announce the new Mini Strips – Life Saver stamp. This set includes 10 sentiments that you can use for cards, tags, and more to thank our health care workers. Use the coordinating Mini Strips or Mini Strips – Asymmetrical dies to cut out the 10 sentiments in one pass through your die cut machine.
When you purchase the Mini Strips – Life Saver stamp, you can get 10% off the coordinating Mini Strips or Mini Strips – Asymmetrical dies now through Sunday, April 26th. CLICK BELOW to shop for the Mini Strips – Life Saver stamp in the Taylored Expressions webstore.
We are donating 5% of sales in the Taylored Expressions webstore from Monday, April 20th – Sunday, April 26th to the American Red Cross COVID-19 fund, which is being used to help provide medical supplies such as face masks, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), gloves, water, hygiene kits, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer and more to healthcare providers on the front lines of the pandemic.
To go along with the new stamp set, is our FREE digital download:
This cute character might seem familiar to some of you. It’s Moka Melissa and she was a part of a stamp set years ago at Taylored Expressions. We are re-releasing Moka Melissa as a FREE digital download. You can print her out to use her on card projects to thank our health care workers. To download Moka Melissa, you must be logged into your account at the Taylored Expressions webstore, click the ‘GET INSPIRED‘ tab on the home page, click ‘FREE DOWNLOADS‘, and you will find Moka Melissa there along with all of the other free downloads that are available.
We hope you will participate in our TE Cares Card Drive! Check out all the details below:
Ready for some inspiration? Watch the video below to see how I created my thank you cards for heath care workers using the FREE Moka Melissa Nurse digital download and new Mini Strips – Life Saver stamp:
In the video, I share how I colored the Moka Melissa image using Copic markers and colored pencils. I stamp, emboss, and die cut the Mini Strip – Live Saver sentiments for my project and share an easy pro-tip that I like to do when embossing with white embossing powder.
Coloring images is a very therapeutic activity for me and I have really been loving using my Copic markers and colored pencils together. I blend the colored pencils over the Copic markers using Gamsol – an odorless mineral spirit. I like the fact that I feel like I have more control over where I am putting my shading details using my sharpened colored pencils!
I trimmed apart the sentiment strips from the Mini Strips – Life Saver stamp and stacked them up along the side of my cards. I added die cut hearts to embellish the card. The hearts remind me of the paper hearts that people are hanging up in their windows to thank health care workers.
