Hooray! Another Day of Inspiration With NEW Teacher & Grad Products!
Hey, crafty friends! It’s Heather again today! I am bringing you one more day of Teacher/Grad inspiration with the new products that we released this week at Taylored Expressions. Today’s video is from Emily Leiphart and she is sharing two projects today: a teacher thank you card and a graduation card created with new products from the Teacher/Grad release. Watch the video below:
In the video, Emily shares more about the new Simple Storage for Building Blocks and creates two cards. The first card is created with the Full Circle – School stamp set and the second with the Dahlia stencil, On the Block – Grad stamp (+ coordinating die), and sentiments from the Building Blocks – Well Done stamp.
Here’s a closer look at the new products that Emily shares in the video:
The Full Circle – School stamp set features a gathering of school themed doodles in a circular shape along with 6 coordinating sentiments. There are so many ways to use the circle image both as a feature and to add pattern to a shape or background on your teacher appreciation cards!
This new Building Blocks – Well Done stamp includes 22 words and phrases that work perfectly together to create sentiments for graduation cards or other projects to celebrate a job well done. Cut out all 22 words and phrases with one pass through your die cut machine using our innovative alignment guides and the coordinating Building Blocks die.
Speaking of the Building Blocks collection, we are so excited to now offer a storage solution for it! Simple Storage for Building Blocks includes one of the Simple Storage cases fitted with molded plastic tray inserts that nest together to give you compartments to hold sentiments from two Building Blocks stamps – that’s 44 sentiments/words organized in one case!
This adorable teacher thank you card is created with the new Full Circle – School stamp set. I love the color combination on this card! Emily stamped the circle image twice on her card and she stamped them coming in from the sides of her cardstock and at different angels for a fun and whimsical look. She masked off the circles to add the Notepaper Background stamp and then used the Masking Stencils – Circles set and her Bitty Blender Brushes to add a light layer of color over each circle image. The sentiments are also from the Full Circle – School stamp set. Emily embossed them in white on Oreo cardstock, used her Mini Strips die to cut them out onto strips, and added the sentiments strips to glittered cardstock cut out with the Mini Strips Backer die.
Emily used a similar color combination on this graduation card as she did on her teacher card to stencil the Dahlia with Peaches ‘n’ Cream, Sprinkles, and Blue Corn inks. She added a glittery On the Block – Grad to the background that is stamped with Sugar Cube ink on Blue Corn cardstock and embossed with diamond embossing powder. I love the layers of On the Block – Grad Shadow die cuts that she added behind the ‘grad’ word for a dimensional effect. The sentiment strips are stamped with the Building Blocks – Well Done stamp and embossed in white on Oreo cardstock.
Check out the list below for all of the supplies that Emily used on her projects:
Here’s one last round up of projects from the TE Creative Team using the new Teacher/Grad products:
Jill Hawkins used the circle image from the Full Circle – School stamp set to add the pattern to an apple that she put together with the Apple Stacklets and Apple Stem & Seeds die collections. I love how Jill used the circle image to create the tone on tone background on her Mini Slim card by stamping it a few times on Toffee cardstock using Toffee ink. The sentiment is embossed in white on a strip of vellum that Jill stitched to the card.
At first glance, the Full Circle – School stamp set seems like it works just for teacher and school themed cards. But, it also works great for graduation cards like Melody Rupple created here! Melody embossed the circle image on Oreo cardstock, cut them out with a Stitched Circle Stacklets die, and layered them onto backgrounds created with the Grad Cap Layered Stencil set. I love the grad caps from The Tassel stamp set added to the top of the circles and the sentiments are stamped using the new Mini Strips – Grad stamp and cut out with the Mini Strips die.
We’re adding to the On the Block collection with the new On the Block – Hooray stamp and coordinating On the Block – Hooray Shadow die. The sans-serif block letters slightly overlap and are not perfectly aligned, adding a whimsical charm to the word.
I love this card by Noriko Fairchild that is so full of color! She used left over cardstock strips from another release project and adhered them to another piece of cardstock to create a rainbow look. The circle image from the Full Circle – School stamp set is embossed over the top in white and I love how Noriko framed it behind a piece of Sugar Cube Cardstock that she cut a circle opening into. The On the Block – Hooray is embossed in white on Oreo cardstock and Noriko layered that across the frame opening along with a sentiment strip stamped with the Mini Strips – Grad stamp.
Here’s another rainbow look from Laurie Willison! She colored the pencils from the Create in Color Background, fussy cut them out, and layered them onto a card front that she stamped with the circle image from the Full Circle – School stamp set. The sentiment on the card is created with the On the Block – Hooray stamp (+ coordinating die) in Cookie Monster ink and a sentiment from the Building Blocks – Well Done stamp embossed in white on Oreo cardstock.
