Get Well, Get Well Soon….
Anybody a fan of Seinfeld!? Do you remember the episode where Elaine is annoyed because her collegues have a party for somebody every day and make her eat cake. When she was sick they threw a get well party for her and they sang “Get well, get well soon, we wish you to get well!” And of course, more cake! I’m laughing just thinking about it and as I was making these cards last night that song kept running through my head. Now if you’re not a Seinfeld fan then you have no idea what this crazy lady is yapping about and you can disregard. 🙂 Or you can go here and read the episode (although not nearly as funny as watching it). I had a customer order a few get well cards so I whipped these up last night. I got my color inspiration from the Splitcoast color challenge (view challenge here). Since I was preparing for my show, it had been a while since I’d participated in a challenge and it felt good! I pulled out a favorite set, Mixed Bouquet and got to work. The first card is 5 1/2″ square and the second is a regular A2 card. I wheeled the Cool Caribbean piece with the Bouquet wheel and then highlighted spots with white gel pen. The background on both cards is Houndstooth and I added lots of stitching, distressing, sponging and a pearl brad to finish off the flower center. I also finished a custom baby scrapbook last night so I was feeling quite accomplished… I love that feeling! Today I brought some leftover items from the craft show into my work and I set up a little display in hopes of a few more sales! Thanks for checking me out and have a splendiforous day! 🙂
