Warm Winter Wishes
When I saw this paper from Basic Grey I just couldn’t resist! Usually I am a terrible hoarder of pretty things, but this full 12×12 sheet is almost used up! This is one of my favorites that I’ve made using the Basic Grey Jack Frost paper from the Blitzen collection. The card base is Not Quite Navy and stamped with Aida Cloth. I sponged around the patterned paper with Close to Cocoa ink and adhered it to the card base. The swirls are from The Angel Company and I LOVE THEM! I don’t own very many unmounted stamps, but of the ones I do have T.A.C. is one of my favorite brands. I colored the large snowflake with markers and stamped it onto Shimmer White cardstock. I’ve become seriously addicted to Shimmer White cardstock! I sponged around the edges with Close to Cocoa and added the smaller snowflakes. The image is mounted on Close to Cocoa which was sponged, distressed, and adhered to the card base with dimensionals. I stamped the middle part of the snowflake again, cut it out, and popped it up for even more dimension. Portions of the snowflake are covered with Stardust Stickles. My husband and I are preparing for a trip back to Iowa to be with his family this Thanksgiving. We’ll be celebrating Christmas at the same time since we will be spending the Christmas holiday with my family here in California. So we gotta get going in packing gifts and clothes and we can’t forget to bring an empty stomach for lots of turkey, sweet potato pie, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. YUM! I love Thanksgiving! And you know what I heard on the news last night!? Friday is National Sleep In Day. That is the most rediculous holiday ever, but I’m totally for it! *wink, wink*
