I made this card yesterday over my lunch break … I had a stressful morning and needed a little creative time! I got the color combo from the color challenge on Splitcoast (view challenge here). The colors are Rose Red, Sage Shadow, Blush Blossom, and Chocolate Chip. I stamped Paisley on the Rose background and then embossed with my Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder. I sponged Close to Cocoa ink over the embossed swirls for a more aged look. Then I cut circles to fit inside the scallop circle and stamped them with Terrific Tulips… another one of my neglected sets. The sentiment is from Take Three. I sponged around the scallop, pierced it, and highlighted with white gel pen. I added the sheer chocolate ribbon and a pearl brad to finish it off. The Sage Shadow card base is distressed using my Tim Holtz Tonic paper distresser. On another note, is anybody else getting really anxious for Christmas!? I know some of you are probably running around buying and wrapping gifts and getting your Christmas cards in the mail, so the mention of Christmas probably puts you in a panic. If that’s you, then don’t read on. 😉 I am all done with my Christmas shopping and wrapping, and my Christmas cards have already arrived at their destination. I’m ready to celebrate Christmas and spend time with my family…. eat a big meal, go to the Christmas Eve service, curl up on the couch with a good book! I’m also excited for other people to open the gifts I got them… that’s the fun part for me! And I have to admit I’m really curious to see what my hubby got me for Christmas. He’s so good at keeping a secret!
