CHA… Exhausting but FABULOUSLY FUN!
I was at CHA on Sunday and Monday and it took all day yesterday to recover! LOL! This was my first CHA (and hopefully not my last) and the only word I can think to describe it is WOW… or perhaps overwhelming is a better choice. 😉 We walked into the convention center to see row after row after row filled with vendors showcasing all their new products. We all stopped dead in our tracks and just starred wondering where to start. Once we finally started moving there was no stopping. My feet were not happy with me by the end of the day, but it was so worth it! Some of my favorite booths were K&Company, Cosmo Cricket, Basic Grey, Prima, Provo Craft, Crate Paper, Fancy Pants, Scenic Route, Adornit by Carolee’s, Trace Industries, Maya Road, Sassafras Lass, American Crafts, Making Memories, and so many more! We did make and take’s and collected freebies and catalogs until we were ready to drop. Not only did I get to see fabulous new products, but I got to meet some fabulous papercrafters that I’ve looked up to for so long (although not literally… you’ll see from the pics that I’m heads taller than most of them *wink*). The first pic is Lisa Johnson (middle), Nichole Heady (right), and I (FYI: I’m bending down so I don’t look like a giant!). I was able to meet Nichole for the very first time at the Papercrafts meet and greet!!
I was so nervous to meet such a “famous” papercrafter, but I had nothing to be nervous about, she is such a sweetie…. just genuinely a nice person. And I was able to share dinner with Lisa on Monday night! We’ve had some contact through email, but it was so nice to meet her in person! Isn’t she just gorgeous… and that’s after 4 kids! The next picture is Ms. JulieHRR herself!! Can you believe it!? Julie is such a sweetheart and she doesn’t look a day over 30! I wish we had more time to chat, but hopefully there will be a time for that again in the future.
And the next picture is me with Ellen Hutson. It was absolutely wonderful to meet Ellen in person… and she’s tall too… my kinda gal *wink*!! She was everything I expected and more… such a kind-hearted and encouraging person! I also got to meet *dirty girl* and published designer extraordinaire Lisa Strahl. I didn’t get a picture with Lisa because she wasn’t feeling well (poor girl), but hopefully our paths will cross again. *Smooches* to all my new found friends!! I’ll share some more pictures later this week of new product lines, etc. so stay tuned!
