It’s the 15th!
And you know what that means? A new PaperTreyInk set!! This one is just like all the others… so cute! I absolutely love ladybugs so I was super excited when I laid eyes on this set. I just love how Nichole makes the images so easy to work with. She has separated the ladybug wings from the spots/head/tail making it super easy to stamp with! No more inking up with markers to get the color differentiation. For my “Lady in Red” card on the left I stamped one layer of wings and then cut the second layer down the center and popped it up to simulate a ladybug ready to take off in flight. I also used the smaller ladybug wings to create a flower in my “Frilly Flower” card on the right. I started by punching out a 1/4″ circle and gluing it to my paper. I used that as a guide to stamp the petals into a circle. Then I covered it up with a Bazzill Really Big Brad in Pear. I stamped the sentiment onto the brad with Palette Noir ink. The ink dried pretty fast, but I did heat set it just to make sure. There’s nothing I hate more than messing up a perfectly good project with a smeared sentiment! The ladybug trail doubles as a flower stem. I use Doodlebug Paper Frills in the background and some ribbon I picked up at a local store. I also did the double-line doodle around the image. There are some important dates to remember on the PaperTrey site so I’ll post them here as well. I wouldn’t want anybody to miss out ‘cuz this is exciting stuff!
