A Muse Cupcake Friday

Happy Cupcake Day! Today I’m serving up some lovely vanilla cupcakes with chocolate frosting and a little twinkle on top! And the best part… no calories! *grin* I recently purchased the new Party Time acrylic set and some 4-bar notes from A Muse. I started by stamping the cupcakes onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I masked each cupcake with a post-it note and then stamped the tiered stand over the top. It was a bit time consuming to get the cupcakes placed correctly and then mask each one of them. I think next time I’ll stamp the tiered image first and then cut out the cupcakes and adhere them onto the stand. Either way, I like the end result! I cut around the image with my mini scalloped scissors and mounted it onto Chocolate Chip cardstock. The sentiment is also from A Muse and the ribbon is from Stampin’ Up. The little star-shaped twinkles on top of each cupcake were meant to be nail jewelry. I picked them up at the dollar store thinking they’d make a good little card embellishment someday!
