Ms. Elzybell
Elzybells are the new “hot item” in the stamping world and I had to jump in there and buy some too! If you haven’t heard of Elzybells yet, they are a stamp manufacturer based in the UK. A Muse is the exclusive North American distributor of these cute little stamps! You can purchase the stamps on the Elzybells blog. I decided to try out some new techniques yesterday (new to me… definitely not new to the stamping world). I recently got some metal sheets from my friend Sencie and wanted to try a few things with them. For this card, I used Ranger acrylic paint dabbers and an Elzybells snowflake to stamp the metal background. The photo just doesn’t do it justice… the acrylic paint looks really good on the metal. The corners of the metal were surprisingly easy to round with my corner rounder. I also wanted to try using my Cuttlebug on the metal. I cut out the scalloped circle and mounted a pink scallop on top for a quick little tag. Sencie is selling these metal sheets on her blog for a great price. You can check out all the details here! I’ll be showing another card using metal tomorrow. I finally broke out my alcohol inks for the first time yesterday! The cardstock colors are Almost Amythest, Bazzill Carnation, and Whisper White. I colored the image with Stampin’ Up markers and mounted it onto a Spellbinders scalloped square. The organdy swirl ribbon is from my local scrapbook store, but you can also purchase it at Doodliedoo. And last but not least, the snowflake charm is Making Memories. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a great day!
