My Dress Form Design
My first assignment for the Glue Art & Paper Studio design team was to alter one of these dress forms to reflect my personal style. So… here’s me! I created pleats in the Doodlebug patterned paper skirt and glued it around the waste. I added Doodlebug Paper Frills to the bottom of the skirt and embellished each flower center with a Stampendous dot sparkler. I scrounged up some black satin ribbon and a silver buckle to create the belt. The ribbon is tied in a bow around the back. I used black acrylic paint dabber to paint the bodice and the dress form stand. Then after letting that dry I added a large pink rhinestone and several small white pearls to create the necklace. Each design team member’s dress form will be used to represent them for the design team page on the Glue Art & Paper Studio website. It’s not up yet, but make sure you check back to see everyone’s designs! If you’re interested in purchasing a dress form for yourself, you can find them at Doodliedoo! So how does this dress form represent me? I often get teased around the office because I’m usually wearing some shade of black, white, or grey every day. I figure black and white always go together so I have a zillion different outfit combinations when all my clothes are black and white. Black is also a slimming color so how can you go wrong!? *grin* Personally, I would prefer a knee-length skirt as opposed to the full-length skirt on my dress, but it just looked a little funny on a mannequin with a pole for a leg. *chuckle* Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
