Cupcake Challenge 1
Good morning and Happy Cupcake Day! I had so much fun coloring Partygirlabella with my Copics! I used SEI’s Twitterpated patterned paper for the color inspiration. I wanted to highlight the cupcake so I punched it out and popped it up. I covered the frosting with Crystal Stickles. The card base is stamped with the Polka Dot Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms. I think I use this background stamp the most of any background stamp I own! I used my horizontal slot punch to make room for the ribbon and then tied it in a bow. The ribbon is May Arts from StarLitStudio. I had so much fun with last weekend’s eP cupcake challenge that I thought it would be fun to have a weekly challenge that coordinates with Cupcake Friday! It may be a sketch challenge, a color challenge, a technique challenge, or whatever comes to mind on Thursday night when I make the card! *grin* This time I decided to try my hand at creating a sketch with Photoshop. Wow… I have A LOT to learn with that program! Does anybody out there give Photoshop lessons!? The sketch is nothing extravagant, but hey… it’s my first try! I know when I go to design a card, just having a layout in mind can take 30 minutes off the time it takes me to make a card! Cupcakes are not required for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? ๐ If you’re uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC1 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 1). If you post on your blog, leave a link in the comments so I can check it out! There won’t be any prizes… just thought this would be a fun thing to do on Friday’s! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
