Cupcake Challenge 4
It’s Friday and you know what that means…Happy Cupcake Day! I pulled out my A Muse Party Time acrylic set to make this ATC (artist trading card). ATC’s are 2.5″ x 3.5″ and so fun to make! I stamped the cupcake stand in Ruby Red. Then I stamped the cupcakes in Chocolate Chip, cut them out, and glued them to each tier of the cupcake stand. The cupcakes are colored with aquapainter and embellished with Crystal Stickles and red Rain Dots for the cherries. The sentiment is also from A Muse. You can’t see this very well in the photo, but I layered two scalloped cuts on top of each other for the border. When I’m working with small images I find it easier to design on a small surface (like an ATC) and then work that piece into the design of a standard card. For the larger design I just added polka dots from PaperTrey’s Polka Dot Basics, Stampin’ Up Chocolate Chip satin ribbon, and three rhinestone brads. A really quick and easy card once the design of the ATC is finished! So today’s Cupcake Day Challenge is to incorporate an ATC into the design of a standard A2 size card. It can be an ATC you’ve previously made or received, or you can make one up especially for the challenge. If you’re not familiar with ATC’s, check out Jen Del Muro’s ATC tutorial. You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? 🙂 Use keyword TECC4 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 4) when you upload to Splitcoast. If you post on your blog, leave a link in the comments so I can check it out! Can’t wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
