Papertrey Ink April Release
Hi All! Sorry I’ve been absent today, but I haven’t been feeling well. I spent last night on the bathroom floor for reasons I won’t discuss here. 🙂 I’m sure you’re all aware that today was the dreaded day when taxes are due. So I had to pull myself from the bathroom floor to make it in to work for a few hours this morning to get our client’s tax returns out the door. Tonight I’m stealing a moment away from the couch to show you a few of my Papertrey Ink projects. My favorite image from the Pond Life set is the frog! He’s so cute! I stamped the image in Night of Navy, Wild Wasabi, and Pumpkin Pie and then punched out the same color image and popped it up on foam tape. I loved the dimension this gave to each of the images. I used patterned papers from the Stampin’ Up Jersey Shore collection. The second card uses the duck image from the Pond Life set. I think the duck creates a very elegant Father’s Day card. I used another Stampin’ Up collection of patterned papers on the Father’s Day card. I used VersaMagic Gingerbread and Jumbo Java ink for the duck. There are so many possibilities with the Pond Life set and I can’t wait to work with it more. You saw my sneak peek with the Father Knows Best set so you know how much I love it, but there’s one more set that I haven’t talked about yet, Garden of Life by Alli Miles. What a beautiful and versatile set! In my opinion, a stamper can never have too many flowers and Alli’s are definitely unique. This is one of the cards I made using the Garden of Life set. I stamped the stem continuously across the white layer and then filled in with leaves and flowers. The colors are Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi, Sage Shadow, and Barely Banana. These are just a few of my projects, but you can see the rest of the design team’s beautiful creations at the Papertrey Ink gallery. Thanks for stopping by tonight. Here’s hoping I’m feeling well enough to get back to stamping soon!
