Happy Mother’s Day
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I’m sure those of you in cold weather won’t be happy to know, but we broke some temperature records over the weekend. It was 101 here on Saturday and we hit 100 yesterday! It was absolutely gorgeous and so hard to stay inside! Can you believe I didn’t start on my own taxes until this weekend!? What was I thinking? Every year I vow that next year will be different and then I put myself through the same torture all over again! Those of you who requested re-stock notification for the twill should have received an email on Friday night that the twill is back in stock at Taylored Expressions! Thank you all for your orders…you kept Jon and I busy this weekend! All the orders placed over the weekend will go out today. Despite the fact that I wasn’t able to post my Cupcake Friday card, many of you still participated in the color challenge over the weekend. So many cute cards! Some of you said that this color combination was a tough one for you so I’m glad I could bring you out of your comfort zone! Afterall, it wouldn’t be much of a challenge if it wasn’t challenging, right? 😉 The winner of the I Want It All twill bundle is Amy Gwinn! You can see Amy’s cute card here! Amy, email me at tayloredexpressions@gmail.com with your snail mail address and I will send out the twill tomorrow! Today’s card was inspired by this card that Debbie Olson made. I searched through all my patterned papers to find a flower pattern that would compliment the Women of Life set. The patterned paper is from Stampin’ Up Summer Picnic collection. I stamped the flowers in Versamagic Red Magic, the stems in Versamagic Tea Leaves, and the button centers in Stampin’ Up Bashful Blue. The sentiment is a bit longer than the standard word window punch so I stamped the sentiment on the white layer and then used that as a guide for where to punch the word window. Then I adhered the image layer to the Bashful Blue layer and stamped the sentiment in the window. The ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. Thanks for stopping by today! Tonight is the big Papertrey Ink release so stay tuned tomorrow and I’ll share a few of my projects!
