Many Thanks
Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was a busy one for us. We saw the musical Fame at Hollywood High School on Friday night, had a church retreat most of the day Saturday, church Sunday morning, and then I met up with some girlfriends for a birthday celebration. It wasn’t a very relaxing weekend and I was definitely not ready to go back to work when the alarm rang this morning! Jon and I are going to the Dodgers game tonight. I’m really looking forward to it and I’m determined not to forget my camera! lol. Thank you to all of you who participated in the Cupcake Sketch Challenge over the weekend! You all never cease to amaze me with your creativity… things I never would have thought of myself! I decided to put together a slideshow of all the submissions so you can check that out below. The winner of the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors for next week is Becky from Bouncy, Flouncy, Fun, Fun, Fun! You can check out her adorable Changito cupcake card here! Becky will be the featured sampler for next week’s cupcake challenge. And the random winner of the smorgasbord of grosgrain ribbon from Taylored Expressions is Anthonette Chavez! You can check out her sketch challenge creation here! Anthonette, send me an email with your snail mail address and I’ll send out your prize! Last night I decided to go through my “leftovers” drawer. I throw everything from colored images to cards gone wrong in this drawer. When I’m in the right mood I grab from the leftovers drawers and see what happens. The cards usually come together quickly since the image is mostly complete. I had some leftovers of this image panel from this swap card that I made last year. I paired it with Chatterbox patterned paper, added a few rhinestones, a Papertrey sentiment, and a strip of gingham ribbon in the background. Voila… quick and easy! Do you save leftover images, stamped backgrounds, etc.? Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day!
