Happy News
This weekend my friends Julie Ann and Robert got engaged! Jon and I were invited to the surprise engagement party that Robert planned on Saturday afternoon. Julie Ann walked in the door to find her family and friends all waiting there to congratulate them. It brought back so many happy memories of when Jon and I got engaged. The party left me with a warm fuzzy feeling… so excited to see two wonderful people so happily in love. Robert and Julie Ann love wine so I thought a decorated wine bottle would be the perfect congratulatory gift. I used Stardream Flame, Azalea, and Fairway. I printed congratulations and their names on the computer and stamped the ampersand from the Stampin’ Up Together Forever set in Wild Wasabi ink. The flowers are a combo of Prima and Making Memories felt flowers with a yellow brad to hold them all together. I used Pumpkin Twill to tie the card around the wine bottle. I also had fun this weekend checking out all the cupcake challenge submissions. It was so hard to choose just one winner, but the Featured Cupcake Sampler on Friday will be Lynn Put! Click here to see her adorable card! I love her idea of filling each of the circles with a different family member… a perfect ‘thanks from all of us’ card! Because there were so many awesome submissions this week, I wanted to highlight a few more of my favorites for you to check out:
I love how Angela stamped on bottle caps to create this cute Halloween card: Pumpkin Cupcakes
I love the bold colors Ashley used! She used buttons and flowers and stamped her images off-centered to give the card such visual interest! Hello Flowers
Sankari created an amazing action sequence using the sketch. So incredibly clever… you don’t want to miss this one: A Delicious Birthday
Thank you all for sharing your wonderful creations and for stopping by my blog today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
