Introducing the Baker’s Dozen Rotating Design Team
Good morning! Thanks for joining me for more sneak peeks today! All of the new Taylored Expressions Stamp a Sweet Impression stamp sets will be available for purchase on my website: Taylored Expressions September 5th at Midnight EST (that’s 9pm tonight for those of us on the West Coast!). To kick off the Cupcake Friday festivities, join me at midnight for the regularly scheduled sketch challenge and the unveiling of the Top Chef Competition! Before I show you any more sneak peeks I want to introduce you to the Baker’s Dozen Rotating Design Team. These talented ladies will be designing for Taylored Expressions on a four month rotation. You’re gonna love what they have to show you… so much creativity!
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Carol (a.k.a. HB) at the past two CHA events and she is a doll! Her sweet and kind personality spills out on her blog: Happiness Blooms. Whether vintage, cutesy, or elegant, Carol’s designs are always a breath of fresh air!
Donna is such a thoughtful person! She never misses an opportunity to brighten someone’s day by mailing them a card and is always quick to leave compliments for others. Donna wowed me with her intricate scenes and gorgeous coloring and I am so excited that she accepted the design team position. You can see all of her beautiful work on her blog: Serenity in Stamping.
I {heart} Jen del Muro! Since serving on the Dirty Dozen together I’ve had the pleasure of meeting up with Jen several times. She’s as sweet as cupcake frosting! Her bold designs are always fresh and fun. You will {heart} her too when you check out her blog: I {heart}2 Stamp!
Laurie is an incredibly gifted designer! There is no style she can’t perfect! Each time I look at one of her creations I discover another small detail that I missed before. You don’t want to miss one single detail so look intently at each of her creations on her blog: Just Give Me Stamps!
We all know Sharon for her jaw-dropping, beautiful creations and her ability to work those Copic markers with the best of ’em! You’ll see what I mean when you visit her inspiring (and educational!) blog: PaperFections.
Terri is a fresh face that I discovered through her participation in the Cupcake Friday sketch challenges. I love Terri’s bright color combinations and the pop of black that she adds to many of her designs. Check out the diary of a happy stamper on her blog: Paper, Scissors, Stamps, ROCK!
I’d also like to share with you a little bit about the Taylored Expressions stamp set storage system. I think you’ll really like it! It packs a ton of value into a small amount of space. Each stamp set comes packaged on a laminated binder-ready storage panel with a color printed index. As I mentioned yesterday, the stamps come mounted on EZ Mount cling cushion and already die cut. The unmounted stamps stick directly to the back of the storage panel which fits inside our special mini binder box. The binder box comes with a customized Taylored Expressions insert for the
cover and spine. The cover insert has four spaces for you to write the names of the sets you’re storing inside. Each binder box stores up to four sets and is the size of one Stampin’ Up stamp case. The spine insert makes it easy to find your TE stamps when they’re up on your shelf or in a drawer. You can also purchase additional plain storage panels to store your other unmounted rubber and
photopolymer stamps once you fall in love with this system the way I have! While each mini binder box will accomodate four panels of rubber on EZ Mount, you will be able to store six to eight panels of clear stamps. The customized Taylored Expressions insert can be removed so you can decorate your binder however your creative heart desires! Today I’m excited to show you some sneak peeks from the Sweet Celebration stamp set. Once again I grabbed my Copic markers (can you tell I’m addicted to those things!?… and no, it’s not the smell!) to color these images. I have a few birthdays coming up this fall so I decided to create a matching birthday card and gift. I picked up a few packages of confetti bubble bath at one of the cute boutiques in our area. The colors of the confetti
are a perfect match to the polka dot patterned paper in the Birthday Girl Key Ingredients kits. It was easy to create a little wrap for the package, add a Spellbinder scalloped tag, and tie the bag closed with a bit of pink/green polka dot organdy. I dotted each scallop on the oval with White Opal Liquid Pearls. I used the same patterned paper on the card along with the coordinating colors of cardstock from the Key Ingredients kit. I decided to create my own silver hardware with a metal sheet and Spellbinders tag die. I love how quick, easy, and inexpesive it was! The cherry on the
cupcake is dotted with Ruby Red Liquid Pearls. I think that about wraps it up for my matchy-matchy birthday card and gift! The great part about these cupcake images is that they’ll make the perfect birthday card for a boy or a girl. We’ve made that part super easy on you by offering two Key Ingredients kits… one for the Birthday Girl and one for the Birthday Boy. As I mentioned yesterday, the Key Ingredients will be sold separately from the stamp sets and will include coordinating cardstock, patterned paper, and embellishments… everything you need to make the perfect “batch” of cupcake cards! The Birthday Girl Key Ingredients come with 8 sheets of 8.5″ x 11″cardstock (2 each of pink, green, white, orange), 16 sheets of 6″ x 6″ patterned paper (4 of each pattern pictured), 5 yards of coordinating ribbon (1 yard each of 5 different
styles), 1/2 oz. of Raspberry Soda glitter, and 50 assorted brads (green, pink, orange, silver, and white). The Birthday Boy Key Ingredients include 8 sheets of 8.5″ x 11″cardstock (2 each of turquoise, dark blue, white, and green), 16 sheets of 6″ x 6″ patterned paper (4 of each pattern pictured), 5 yards of coordinating ribbon (1 yard each of 5 different styles), 1/2 oz. of Waterfall glitter, and 50 assorted brads (green, blue, white, and silver). Thanks for stopping by on the second day of sneak peeks! Hopefully we’ll see you back here tonight for the release!
Don’t forget to check out the sneak peeks from the Rotating Design Team (their blogs are linked above). Hope you all have a wonderful day!
