Good morning! Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! It has been a good week! I hosted a jewelry party on Wednesday night (thus the reason for no post yesterday) and I ordered cupcakes from
Dots for the occasion. Any week that includes cupcakes from Dots is a good week! 😉 When I sat down with the sketch last night I thought that all the patterns from the
Birthday Boy Key Ingredients papers would be perfect for each of the little bubbles on my card. I used Spellbinders circle dies to cut out the patterned pieces and the dark blue layers for each of the patterns. Each circle needed a little more emphasis so I added white dots around each one. The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers. The image panel is popped up with foam tape. Now it’s time to introduce you to this week’s Featured

Cupcake Sampler! I’ve kept you in suspense all week, and now I’m so excited to show you the fun creation that
Angela Knopf came up with!
Her cute Halloween card with the googlie eye background caught my eye last week! This week she created this adorable cupcake card complete with a real candle! And look at all that sparkle… sparkly circles, sparkly frosting, sparkly rhinestone border… love it! Thanks for sampling the sketch this week, Angela! Recently both
Lynn Mercurio and
Mary Jo Albright have stepped away from featuring the sketch each week due to other time commitments. While it’s just not the same without them, I’m excited to introduce you to two new and talented challenge samplers who will bring you sketch inspiration each week…
Donna Baker &
Jackie Pedro! Welcome ladies… I can’t wait to see what you come up with each week! You don’t want to miss the inspiration from

Donna and Jackie and the rest of the Cupcake Crew listed at the bottom! Now it’s your turn to to try the sketch! I’ll choose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be
featured
on my blog during Cupcake
Friday. You’re not
required to use cupcakes
for the
challenge, but if
you got
’em why not use ’em!? You’re
welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as
closely
to the sketch as possible and you’ll be
eligible
for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If
you’re uploading to Splitcoast use
keyword
TECC37 (for
Taylored
Expressions
Cupcake C
hallenge 37). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your
blog
post or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, October 13th at 8am PST to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
