On the 2nd Day of Christmas…
Whenever I take a vacation it always takes me at least a day to recover. It’s amazing how tiring sitting in airports can be! All we did was sit all day on Sunday, but I was so tired yesterday! Last night I finally got back in my stamp room. I’m still working on Christmas cards for the stash and now all I have to do is find time to write them out and get them off in the mail! I wanted to use another one of the Christmas stamps I bought at the stamp store in Texas. This pretty bird image from Inkadinkadoo isn’t my usual cutesy style, but it was calling to me from the shelf anyway. I always long to create beautiful distressed creations like Debbie Olson and Laurie Schmidlin, but my fingers just don’t hold the same magic! I stamped the image in Riding Hood Red ink and embossed with clear EP. Then I sponged around the edges with several different inks until I got the look I wanted. I sponged the belly of the bird with gold ink and filled in some of the snowflakes with gold paint pen. The patterned paper is from My Mind’s Eye, the sentiment is Papertrey Ink, and the Willow satin ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
