Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #81
Good morning! Happy Friday! Because my sneak peek post was just a couple sentences short of a novel, I think I’ll keep this one a little more abbreviated! I was feeling in the party mood last night so I grabbed my Sweet Celebration stamp set from the shelf and inked up this cutie. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels 9 die. After my card was all finished I decided it would be a nice touch to have the “sweet friend” sentiment below my image. I’ve messed up one too many card trying to stamp onto an already finished and popped up image. So instead I punched out the sentiment with my Word Window punch and I like the plaque effect it gives! I adhered some red stitched ribbon that I pulled out of my stash and layered blue Zva rhinestones over the top. I had so much fun making a card without using patterned paper! I’ve become dependent on it when I create cards so it was nice to get back to the basics with a cardstock only card. Due to all the Birthday Bash and new release festivities this week I just couldn’t connect with a Featured Sketch Sampler. But the Sketch Crew has lots of inspiration to show you so don’t forget to check it out! The links to their blogs are at the bottom of this post. Now it’s your turn to try the sketch! Just create a card using this sketch and link your creation below with Mr. Linky by Friday, September 11th. I’ll choose the cutest creation from the submissions to be the Featured Sketch Sampler. Your design and blog will be featured on my blog during the sketch challenge on Friday. If you’re uploading to an online gallery use keyword TESC81 (for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge 81). Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
