Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 1
It’s release week here at Taylored Expressions and we’ll have a bunch of new products including three new stamp sets and a Key Ingredients kit available for purchase on Saturday, October 3rd at 8AM PST! Of course we can’t wait that long to start showing you what’s coming so sneak peeks start right now!Today the Baker’s Dozen and I are sharing sneak peeks using Christmas Blessings, our newest stamp set in the Lasting Impressions line, a collection of faith-based stamps. This set is different from anything we’ve released previously and that’s what I love about it! The set includes two beautiful silhouettes and several meaningful Christmas sentiments. I also love to stamp the inside of my Christmas cards with a sentiment and I think you’ll find sentiments perfect for that in this set as well. For my Christmas Blessings cards I used the SEI Christmas Mint patterned paper along with the coordinating Prism cardstock colors. We’ll have this patterned paper and coordinating cardstock pack available for purchase in the store on release day. I love the Christmas Mint patterned paper! Each of the pieces is clear embossed or foiled creating a unique and rich patterned paper…absolutely perfect for Christmas cards! I started by stamping the image onto Kraft cardstock
with VersaMagic Sepia ink. I poured clear embossing powder over the top and heat embossed the image. Then I used Stampin’ Up Sage Shadow ink to sponge around the bottom of the bird and a Strong Red Copic marker to color the berries in the twig. And then to finish it off I stamped the swirly image (from the Faith & Hope set) around the bird in Colorbox Cloud White ink. I used Spellbinders circle dies for the image and sentiment panels and all of the pieces were distressed with the VersaMagic Sepia ink. The ribbon is May Arts. For the second card I also clear embossed the image after stamping it in VersaMagic Sepia ink. These rubber stamps are so deeply etched that it’s easy to get a perfectly stamped and embossed image even with such fine details. I used the Sage Shadow ink and a sponge dauber to pull the ink from the bottom of the image toward the top. The two silhouette frames in the Christmas Blessings set are sized to layer perfectly with the Spellbinders Large Scalloped rectangles.
That’s all I have to share today and I don’t want to keep you from checking out the rest of the Baker’s Dozen sneak peek creations any longer (see links below)! And remember we’ll be back again tomorrow with more sneak peeks and then our new stamp sets will be released on Saturday, October 3rd at 8am PST. Hope you have a wonderful day!
