TESC108 – Missing You Teapot
Happy Friday! It feels so good to say that each week because it means the weekend is almost here! Just a few more hours and we can kick back and relax. And I’m especially excited today because Jon and I are having a date night tonight (which for us means dinner and a movie). We don’t do date night very often, but when we heard the movie Date Night (with Steve Carell and Tina Fey) was coming out we decided it was time to do a date night and go see Date Night. Clear as mud? *grin* The card I created for today’s sketch challenge doesn’t look like my usual style, but I LOVE how it turned out! This week’s sketch is a color block sketch so I decided to start my color blocks by stamping the Damask pattern from Miniature Motifs in three different colors (Rouge, Lime Pastel, and Angel Pink). Then for the bottom panel I used a piece of patterned scrap that I had leftover from the Paper Girl Card Kit. After adhering the panels to a Kraft base I added the Mini Ecru Pom Pom trim. Then I stamped the teapot from CreativiTEA and paper pieced it with the same pattern from the background. I adhered the image panel to a Spellbinders Big Scalloped Rectangles Small die cut and popped it up over the pom trim. I just added one of our TE Pink Apple Blossoms to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
