Baby Blog Hop – It’s a Girl!
Good morning & Happy Friday! If you’re here for the gender announcement, It’s A GIRL! The majority of you thought that I was growing a little boy in my belly, but I think I may have thrown you off with the pee-pee tee pee reference. I have four nephews and several friends with little boys so I have plenty of experience with a pee-pee tee pee! Several of you also guessed we might be having twins, but so far we’ve only heard one miraculous heart beat. I mentioned last week that there are so many strollers and swings and high chairs to choose from that I’ve been feeling overwhelmed. Speaking of overwhelmed… do you know how many cute little cupcake outfits are out there!? We all know my obsession with cupcakes and each time I pass through a baby section I see a new cupcake outfit or blanket or bib or hat!
Today I’ve invited some close friends to help me spread the word and join in a Baby Blog Hop! And of course all of our projects will be girl themed. Ever since Nancy designed the adorable Bringing Home Baby stamp set I’ve thought about creating this nursery with stamps and paper! I started by embossing the crib in white embossing powder directly onto the pink polka dot piece. I added patterned crib sheet using patterned paper from the Jillibean Soup Blossom collection. I stamped the mobile directly on the pink paper and then colored and trimmed the tiny icons and adhered them. I used the same tiny icons to create the matching quilt (love that option with all the little icons in the set!), cut it out, and ‘hung’ it on the wall with two matching baskets for the shelf. The rocking chair and ABC
blocks were also embossed in white embossing powder, fussy cut, and adhered onto the scene. It was tough getting a photo of the frame without the glare from the glass! The finished size of the piece is 5″ x 7″ and I think it’ll make the perfect decor piece for our little girl’s room!
As promised, I’m giving away one of each of our new Baby stamps from the May release to one lucky lady who guessed the gender correctly! After the Random.org drawing, the winner is Vicki Boddicker and she’ll be receiving the following stamps:
Bringing Home Baby
Welcome Little One
Baby Cakes
Welcome Baby A la Carte
Baby Shower A la Carte
Baby Announcement A la Carte
Moka Jenn
But wait….there’s another chance for you to win! I’ll be choosing one random commenter from among all of the Baby Blog Hop posts to win one free stamp set of your choice from our May release! So the more comments you leave, the better chance you have to win! You have through Sunday, May 8th to leave comments and I’ll announce the winner here on Monday. Here are the fabulous ladies joining me on the hop:
