Taylored Expressions June Sneaks – Day 3
Good morning and welcome to our third and final day of sneak peeks for the June release! Yep, that means that all of the new goodies the Baker’s Dozen and I have been sharing during the last three days will be available tomorrow! But first, I better get to the goodies I have to share today! Since each month passes so quickly lately, that means the 4th of July will be here before we know it and I already have two cards made! And lots of you have been wondering about the adorable cow from the sneak peek we shared in our newsletter a few weeks ago. Today is the day to share sweet Bessie and the rest of her farm friends! So I guess I better stop chatting and get started!
Don’t forget to check out our June Release details below for everything you need to know about this month’s release, including how you can win a gift certificate to the TE Store!
- We have sneak peeks to share Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. All of the new products will be available for purchase on Friday, June 3rd at 8 am PST. You’ll find it all in the Fresh out of the Oven Department in the Taylored Expressions Store.
- Join us as a fan on Facebook for an early peek at the stamp sets on Thursday night beginning at approximately 6 pm PST.
- Special Early Bird Offer on Release Day for the first 15 orders over $100. It’s TOTALLY SWEET!
- Mystery Baker’s Dozen Blog Giveaway: Each day one lucky blog commenter will be chosen by random draw to win a $10 TE Gift Certificate. Winners will be chosen from a different Baker’s Dozen blog each day and all will be announced on Taylor’s blog on Release Day! Be sure to hop around to see all the sneak peeks and leave comments on each and every blog for more chances to win. Limit one comment per blog per day. Comments close Thursday 6/2 at 7pm PST for the drawings.
The Green Acres stamp set was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink collection and includes all the farm fun you could ever want…the barn, the adorable animals, the punny sentiments! And if that’s not enough farm fun, we also have the coordinating Chicken Wire & Woodgrain impression plate. As I was browsing around yesterday I came across a fabulous tutorial on Splitcoast for a center step card and I decided to try it! I’m not usually a funky fold/technique kind of stamper, but I wanted something special to showcase lots of the images and sentiments from the set. The patterned paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety collection. I also incorporated the Cloud Duo die and the Picket Fence die and had soooo much fun putting this together!
Now it just wouldn’t be a patriotic summer without a 4th of July Wreath to adorn your door (and your cards in this case!). This set is the fifth wreath released in the concept originally presented by Jami Sibley and illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes collection. This wreath and all of the previous wreaths coordinate with the fabulous Seasonal Wreath die. I started by stamping the wreath in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored it with Copics (R46, B23, and B18 are three great choices for the 4th of July), embellished it with Crystal Stickles, and used a bit of red gingham ribbon to hang the wreath. The white background was embossed with the Stars impression plate and I stamped solid stars in the background with Colorbox Ice Blue ink.
Our Apple Doodle penguin is making another appearance as Uncle Sam! Isn’t he cute!? This Petite set includes 5 images and sentiments packaged on a sturdy storage panel with a full-color index. And the rubber stamps are already trimmed and ready to use as soon as they arrive on your doorstep! I decided to start with the Mojo Monday 191 layout. I stamped the image onto Choice Snow White cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with the same three 4th of July Copics that I listed above (plus YR12 for the feet and beak). I trimmed the image to fit inside the Spellbinders Lacey Square and rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper. The patterned paper is from the Doodlebug 4th of July collection pack. I added lots of bling to the sparkler with Multi-color Twinkles and finished it off with some star rhinestones from my stash.

And last, but certainly not least, our sweet Tiny Chefs are joining us this month! These cuties give me such a smile as they proudly present their projects to the camera. School is out for summer here in Iowa and I’m already hearing from the mom’s in our neighborhood that their kids are bored. So it’s a perfect time for the Kid’s Summer Fun Pack! Each pack contains the following supplies that they can use to create whatever their little heart desires:
- 5 sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ cardstock
- 10 sheets of patterned paper from the We R Memory Keepers Berrylicious collection
- 10 Choice Snow White image panels
- 10 white envelopes
- 1 ring-bound chipboard book (5 pages)
- 3 yards of ribbon
- 1 sheet of alphabet and border stickers
- Assorted round & apple brads
- Assorted flat fruit slice embellishments
And I saved the best for last… it’s only $9.95 for all of these coordinating goodies! The perfect price to let your little one loose to play!
A HUGE thank you to our Tiny Chefs Arwen, Avery, Catie, Harrison, Kaiden, Meredith, Jayanta, and Savannah for taking these supplies and creating fabulous works of art! You all are so creative!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you’ll pop around to our amazing Baker’s Dozen blogs to check out all of the eye candy using these fun sets! And if you see a Tiny Chef while you’re there, take a sec to encourage their creativity!
