June Blast from the Past Blog Hop
Good morning stamping friends! Can you believe we’re almost through June already!? This summer is going way too fast! Today it’s time for another Blast from the Past Blog Hop and I just know all of our creative customers have some fabulous inspiration to share! Maybe this is your first time stumbling upon our Blast from the Past blog hop and you’re wondering what it’s all about. Each month we issue a theme and a sketch to our fabulous customers and we all get creative with our ‘older’ TE stamps. It’s a great way to get inspiration for the stamps already in your collection and meet fellow TE lovers along the way! We’d love to have you join us and you can find all of the hop details (including how to sign up!) on this page. I hope you’ll come play with us next month!
Our theme for the hop this month is “Old Glory”, but don’t be fooled! Patriotic images were not required to participate…just the color combination of red, white, and blue! I had fun searching through my stamps to find a non-traditional set to work with this color combo. I finally settled on In the Park (one of my favorite sets from last summer). I started by stamping the scene in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring it with Copics. I stamped the kites in Warm Red and Prussian Blue ink, cut them out, and popped them up at the top. I chose red, white, and blue patterned papers and embellished the card with a red rhinestones and a red and blue flower embellishment from my stash. I’m excited to start the hop and see what everyone else created so I’m going to keep this short and sweet! Make sure you stop by and visit the rest of our Blast from the Past hoppers too! I hope you have a wonderful day!
