Your nursery is so adorable! I love the colors!

Those are great resolutions Taylor and the nursery is just precious. I'm not a huge scrapbooker, but have come to like the We R Memory Keepers system at Archivers. I can create a 12×12 layout if I want to or just use the 4×6 photo inserts and create a small header. It's a nice solution that's helped me stay on top of my scrapbooking.

  • Carol Dee

OMG that is the most beautiful nursery I have ever seen! I can't help with the facebook thing. (no facebook) Yeah, I know, get in the 20th century already! LOL.
    Hugs….

Happy New Year Taylor! I hope you and your family have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012! Looking forward to working with you in the new year. Blessings to you all!

Happy New Year, Taylor! I hope Madelyn is feeling better soon! I am doing Project Life this year! I bought a kit from Amazon, but I'm also going to add my own touches. If you decide to dive in, we have a private group on Facebook of stampers that are also doing PL and we'd love for you to join us! It's strictly for encouragement and PL chats! You know a lot of the girls, so if you decide and want to be added to the group you can let me or Lori Craig know!!

Taylor, Madie's room is beautiful and I voted for it! I love the green walls!
As for scrapbooking – that's how I got into card making! I love beautiful layouts with lots of pictures and lots of journaling — I'm with Ali Edwards on the importance of the story. I love my weekend crops where I just get away and scrapbook. Having said that, I'm starting PL this year. We are empty nesters now so our days are more ordinary — less colorful than yours with Maddie (and her room around). PL will allow you to mark each week and you can always go back in and do larger LOs of events — I'm still doing my kids' stuff — just pulled out DD's first communion pics! Find your style and be happy!
No resolutions for me — One Little Word — Enough.

You have some great goals (resolutions)! I LOVE Madi's room! Soooo pretty – just what I would have wanted had I had the means to decorate my daughter's room when she was little. You did an EXCELLENT job! I'll be sure and vote for you! By the way, what are the Butterflies made out of? At first I thought they were vinyl but the wings are away from the wall… something I would love to do in my craft room. I'd love to know where to buy them or how to make them!

I have made numerous scrapbooks over the years. I had three 12×12 albums and two 8 1/2×11 albums at Jessica's funeral all about her and our family. It was so nice to have them out for people to look at… most people who knew her the last 1/2 of her life didn't know her the first 1/2 so they had never seen pictures of her at such a young age. I love and cherish these albums. I'm also working on my son's albums but don't feel the urgency that I felt with Jessica's. I always knew her scrapbooks would be a comfort to me and they are. I don't follow any outlines but I do like to get layout ideas from many sources. My advice is to do what you want and if Becky Higgin's books give you inspiration then use them but don't be bound by anything anyone says. I was a Creative Memories consultant for 7 years and taught scrapbooking classes. I always told my customers, "It's YOUR scrapbook – there is NO "wrong" way to do it." Just be sure and use acid-free, lignen-free products to ensure your hard work and money isn't going to waste.

Lastly, I need to send out more cards too! I don't know why it's so hard for me to get things into the mail either but that is one of my goals for this coming year too. Thank you for reminding me about the Perpetual Occasions calendars. I definitely need one of those for birthdays… and maybe another for anniversaries!

I look forward to your sneak peeks! I love your releases. So many goodness… so little time to play! LOL

Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope it brings laughter, joy and good health to you and yours.
