Taylored Expressions March Sneaks – Day 3
Good morning! We made it to the last day of sneak peeks for our March release which means that all of the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow at 8am PST at the TE Store! We’ve also added lots of other new products fresh from CHA so make sure you check out the entire Fresh Out of the Oven category!
Today the Baker’s Dozen and I are sharing projects using two super cute full-size stamp sets! The first was illustrated by Emily Burger for the Embracing Grace collection and includes several cute blooms to pair with Bible verses and sentiments of faith. And so it’s appropriately named Faith in Bloom. The second set was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink collection and combines images from his wildly popular Hello Spring set into tags that coordinate with the Totally Tags dies. Both sets are super fun, but I better stop chatting about them and show you the goodies I made:
For my first project, I decided to get a head start on Easter basket stuffers. I’ve noticed all of the Easter candy is out on the shelves so I picked up a bag of jelly beans on my latest trip to Target. I might as well just admit it since you all know what happened… yes, I filled these two containers with jelly beans and then I ate the rest of the bag myself! *grin* But there’s still plenty of time to buy more for the rest of my Easter baskets! The containers are clear top square tins that I covered with patterned paper from the My Mind’s Eye Fly A Kite collection. I stamped the tags in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics. Then I just tied some yellow polka dot ribbon around and tied the tags on. Super quick and cute (at least I think so!).
For my second project, I started with Jen’s Deconstructed Sketch #40. I transformed it into a square card in order to work with the Spellbinders Beaded Oval die that I wanted to use for the sentiment and flower. I stamped both in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then with the die still in place I masked the “bead” parts and airbrushed inside the die. Then I masked the inside and airbrushed the “bead” parts in a different color. It took a little maneuvering, but I love the detail that it adds to the card. Then I just colored the flowers with Copics and popped up the image panel. The patterned papers are from the My Mind’s Eye Howdy Doody 6×6 pad. Can you tell I’m having a love affair with My Mind’s Eye papers? I think I used them on EVERY project I made for this release!
So those are my sneak peek projects today! I hope you’ve seen something you like over the last three days! Check out all the details of our release below and make sure you join us on Facebook tonight for our fun Preview Party where we’ll be giving away one of each of our new stamps/sets!
