Hello Spring… Thanks a Bunch!
Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend! We spent Friday and Sunday in Omaha at the NCAA basketball tournament and it was a great time! There were so many great games, but the two best games were the Norfolk State upset over Mizzou on Friday and then the awesome Kansas vs. Purdue game last night. It was a fun weekend and the weather was absolutely gorgeous (in the 80’s!) which made it even better! There were no games on Saturday so I had some time to spend in my stamp room too. The idea for this card has been rolling around in my head for a while. I love our new Jumbo Flower Border die and I’ve been wanting to do something in a rainbow color scheme with it. I started with my ROY G BIV acronym from elementary school (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) and cut out the border die from cardstock. Does anybody else know ROY G BIV? I asked Jon about it this morning and he looked at me like I was crazy? Maybe they only taught that at my elementary school! LOL! I glued each border to a Choice Snow White base (4″ x 5.25″) and added the coordinating rhinestones to the center of each flower. The rhinestone colors I used were Red, Orange, Deep Yellow, Split Pea, Ice Blue, and Lilac. The Hello Spring stamp set is now back in stock at the TE Store and it seemed to be the perfect addition to the bright and sunny rainbow borders. I stamped the little scene in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, punched it out with a 1 3/4″ circle punch, and colored it with Copics. Then I layered it on the Layering Doily Die (small) and popped it up on foam tape over the top of the colorful borders. To finish it off I flagged the sentiment and adhered it underneath the image panel.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’ll see you back here tomorrow when I’ll be joining with the Key Ingredients design team for our monthly blog hop. We’ll have tons of inspiration and another fun challenge for our subscribers!
