Taylored Expressions April Sneaks – Day 3
Good morning! It’s the last day of sneak peeks before all of our new products are available at the TE Store! I’m glad you stopped by because the Baker’s Dozen and I have lots of fun goodies to share today. But first, I want to make sure you all know about our super fun Preview Party on Facebook tonight. We’ll be giving away one of each of our new stamp sets! Maybe you’ve attended a Preview Party in the past and you know the drill. Well, we’re changing it up just a bit and there will be a BIG surprise that you won’t want to miss! Everyone is invited and anyone can win so make sure you like our fan page and stop by tonight starting at 6pm PST!
Now that y’all know about the big party tonight, let me continue on with my sneak peeks. I told you we’re celebrating moms this release and what comes with motherhood? Well, a baby of course! So today we’re sharing several baby stamp sets and some fabulous new dies to use for baby cards, baby shower ensembles, etc. I started out by grabbing the new (and simply ADORABLE) Doodlebug Sugar & Spice 6×6 pad to create a gift bag and onesie notecard/tag. I combined several of the patterned papers in strips, stamped the congratulations sentiment and flagged the end, and then wrapped Baby Girl pink and brown twine around the patterned pieces and tied on the cutest pink flower button from the Doodlebug Oodles collection. I bought these kraft gift sacks on clearance at Target. They had ugly black ribbon handles but after cutting those out and replacing them with pink stitched ribbon I made my clearance bargain into a treasure! Good thing I picked up about 20 of these bags (*wink*…don’t tell Jon!). Then I used the brand spankin’ new Onesie Notecard die to create a little card/tag
for the gift. I cut the onesie out of the Suede Brown Medium cardstock and folded on the impressed score lines to create the folded onesie. Then I cut the front of the onesie out of patterned paper and pieced it onto the brown onesie base. I added silver paint pen dots to the ‘snaps’ and then stamped the rattle image from Welcome Little One, punched it out with a 1″ circle punch, and popped it up on the onesie. The bottom flap is adhered with velcro which then opens up to reveal my message inside. Above is a little closer look at the tag (and you can see the sparkle of the Crystal Stickles that I added to the rattle!). I had so much fun creating these little onesie note cards that I just couldn’t stop! Here are the other three that I made using patterned papers from the Sugar & Spice pad along with a look at the new Onesie Note Card Die. The folded onesie note card measures approximately 3.5″ long x 3.25″ at the widest part of the sleeves.
For my second sneak peek today I used the new mini stamp set, Onesie Twosie, illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes collection. I love the ability to personalize the onesie with different images like the strawberry and cupcake I used on this card! And the onesie stamp also has a coordinating die which I used to cut out around the images. I started with TE Sketch Challenge #155 for the layout along with one of Doodlebug’s Create a Card designs. Guess what? There’s still another week to participate in the sketch challenge and have your name entered to win a TE gift certificate! I used patterned papers from the Doodlebug Sugar & Spice 6×6 pad, Baby Girl Twine, and buttons from the Oodles collection. I also used Spellbinders Labels 4 and the following Copics colors (R81, R83, R85, R24, YG11, YG03, YG17, Y21). Love all the possibilities this set holds for baby boys and girls and even twins! Here’s a look at the Onesie die that I used:
And last, but certainly not least, I have one more Shadowbox Card Kit to show off. And this one is extra special because it was Madelyn’s very first stamping project! Yesterday I mentioned that these Shadowbox Card Kits would make great decor for your mantel with photos of your kids. Well, I thought that was a great idea so I decided to try it myself!
*grin* I used pictures from Madelyn’s newborn and three month photo session and cutouts from the new Twiggy Branch Die. Then I dipped Madi’s tiny fingers in ink and made a little “fingerprint” that I know will be treasured by gramma for sure! I had the ‘i love you’ sticker in my stash and I spelled out Gramma with Prima canvas alphabet stickers (colored with Copics to match the card). I tied it all up with the coordinating ribbon and fancy buckle that are included in the kit. Hooray for Madi’s first stamping project!- We have sneak peeks to share Monday through Wednesday. All of the new products will be available for purchase on Thursday, April 5th at 8 am PST. You’ll find it all in the Fresh out of the Oven Department at the Taylored Expressions Store.
