A BIG Birthday Thank You!

You know what? I wish I could gather the whole crafting community together and put my arms around y’all in a big group hug! You sure know how to make a girl feel special!

Let me explain…

As you know it was my 30th birthday yesterday. I started to receive a few cards here and there over the last couple weeks, and then a few more cards as my birthday came closer, but then over the last few days the TE mailbox has been flooded with birthday cards from all over the world! It turns out that you all were in on a little secret celebration planned by my husband, Jon and friend, Jami. They highjacked the TE newsletter to ask you to send cards in celebration of my milestone birthday. So sweet of him and so sweet of all of you to come through and make it such a special day for me!

You have put such a huge smile on my face throughout the last week! Every day I practically skip to the mailbox singing “It’s my birthday… It’s my birthday” (a clever little tune that I made up myself *wink*). Here’s a look at the pile of beautiful cards that arrived. Sorry that I couldn’t fit them all in the picture!

And I have to show you the most adorable marshmallows… an extra special treat from Korea! Don’t you think they’re too cute to eat!? OK… I must admit I did eat one and it was amazing! I happen to love marshmallows… I go crazy for those Peeps marshmallows at Easter. But this marshmallow was in a whole different league! First it was shaped like a banana with yellow sugars on the outside. And then I bit into it and it was flavored like a banana too. But that’s not all… it also had CHOCOLATE on the inside! Ummm… chocolate inside a banana flavored marshmallow!? Why haven’t the makers of Peeps done this yet!?

And to top it off with a cherry on top, Jon threw a surprise birthday party for me at our home last night. I had NO idea! We play in a coed sand volleyball league on Tuesday nights so we played our normal game and then drove back home where a herd of people was waiting in our driveway to wish me a happy birthday and eat gourmet cupcakes. It was simply wonderful!

Thank you all so much for making my 30th birthday one to remember!

TFS these adorable pic's of Madelyn, she is a diva! I love how you dress her and those sweet headbands. It is bringing back wonderful memories from my sweet girl's baby days.

It's impossible to pick just one! She is absolutely precious. Just looking at her I would so do it all over again (the diapers, spit up and no sleep!) I miss those days. I could totally relate to what everyone told you when you were pregnant. I heard the same things and thought people were off their rockers! One friend went so far as to tell me she's be starting Kingergarden before I knew it. AND SHE WAS RIGHT! The day I walked her to her classroom I bawled thinking back to her comment. It does go by in a blink. Time to have another!!!! LOL! Thanks for giving me the biggest smile today!

Great photos 🙂 They do grow up quickly – can't believe I have preteens!! Enjoy them while they are not mobile too – once they crawl it's a whole other ball game, never mind when they start to walk! Precious moments 🙂

What an adorable little doll she is! I love that first picture with her hand on the arm of the sofa. She has such a cute expression! Have you tried teaching her basic sign language (milk, cereal, eat, tired, play, etc). I did that when my DD was about Madi's age and it was easy to do. You'd be surprised at how communicative babies can be. It's fun, and really helpful, to actually know what your baby is thinking. ~Hugs!

What absolutely darling pictures!! So glad you are enjoying every minute with her. I am shocked at how fast the time went when my children were growing. Now, my oldest granddaughter just turned 21 and I am still trying figure out where the time went.
