Taylored Expressions February Spotlights: Basket Full of Posies
Hey there and Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful week! We kicked off our February release yesterday with tons of new products to get you started on Easter projects and add versatility to your stamp collection. The Baker’s Dozen and I are still busy playing with the new goodies and we have more inspiration to share with you during today’s spotlight.
My first project uses the Basket Full stamp set. The fillers in this set coordinate with the containers in the previously released A Bushel & A Peck and the train car in All Aboard giving it tons of versatility. I decided to use all of the images in this set to create a set of Easter notecards:
I decided to paper piece the baskets with different patterns from the Doodlebug Hello Spring collection. Then I did my coloring while watching one of my favorite TV shows (Chopped) so these seemed to come together pretty quickly. The only time consuming part was the Xacto knife work to cut inside the handle of the basket.
Here are the supplies you can find in the TE Store:
For my second project I did something equally clean and simple with the Graphic Greetings Redeemer A la Carte stamp:
The patterned paper is from the We R Memory Simply Spring collection just released at CHA last month. The soft, pastel colors and printed design provided the perfect canvas for this stamp image. I stamped the image in Memento Rich Cocoa and then added the Silhouette Stems 3 cut from coordinating patterned papers on the right.
Here are the supplies you can find in the TE Store for this card:
Now the Baker’s Dozen gals aren’t finished showing off their amazing creations so make sure you head over to their blogs today. They are simply the best!
