Taylored Expressions February Studio Challenge
Hey there! I hope you all had a great weekend! I’m joining with the rest of the Baker’s Dozen today for our February Studio Challenge. This month we’re sharing our recipe for success and I can’t wait to hear the tips and tricks the other girls will share! Here’s the challenge we were given:
When you sit down to create a
card for the pure joy of stamping, without any type of
assignment or deadline, what steps do you usually take? Tell us how you get started and take us along on your creative journey.
I start with either a patterned paper or a stamp set and dies that I want to use. If I start with patterned paper my next step is to choose a stamp set/dies. If I start with a stamp set/dies my next step is to choose a patterned paper. Here’s what I chose for this card:
After choosing the stamp set and the patterned paper collection I typically pick out a sketch challenge to work with. This time I decided on Jen’s Deconstructed Sketch #89. My last step is to choose cardstock to match along with ink or Copics (depending on if I’m using solid or outline stamp images). Here’s what I used on this card:
Now all that’s left is to stamp, die cut, and assemble!
So does your creative process look similar to mine? I’m glad you stopped by for our February Studio Challenge and I hope you grabbed a useful tidbit of information! Make sure you check out the rest of the tips and tricks (and beautiful projects!) from the talented Baker’s Dozen:
